Thiel has been a big Republican donor for well over a decade, dishing out hundreds of thousands of dollars to support Trump’s campaigns. His favored candidates have not always been successful, however. During the 2020 cycle, he contributed more than $2 million to a super PAC that supported the Senate candidacy of Kansas Republican Kris Kobach. Kobach, a bomb-throwing, anti-immigration conservative who was opposed by the GOP establishment, lost the primary to now-GOP Sen. Roger Marshall.
But Thiel’s investments in Masters and Vance are by far his largest in support of any federal candidate. Those close to Thiel say he’s also looking at potentially supporting other 2022 contenders, such as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who is seeking reelection, and army veteran Joe Kent, who is waging a challenge to GOP Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, a Trump impeachment backer, in Washington state's all-party primary next year.

The big census winner are Texans as their state will add power in Congress with additional legislators, more power in the electoral college, and a bigger cut of federal funding. Beleaguered Democratically-controlled states will be the hardest hit losing desperately needed money while their economies are largely closed.
Florida is also likely to gain two seats after a decade in which its population topped 20 million for the first time. North Carolina, Arizona and Colorado are the other Sun Belt states set to add one seat each to their delegations.
New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Illinois are all expected to lose at least one seat each, continuing a losing streak those states started in the middle of the 20th century. West Virginia, Rhode Island, Michigan and Minnesota are expected to lose a seat each, as is Alabama, the only Southern state to see its delegation contract.
The major outlier, for the first time in the nation’s history, is California, which appears set to lose a seat in the House for the first time since it joined the Union in 1850.

The new judge in the Democrats Maricopa County case began his career in 1992 as an associate at Brown & Bain (now Perkins Coie).
He was reportedly appointed Judge in 2007 by Janet Napolitano, the former governor and Obama’s Secretary of Homeland Security.
A 2010 Judges Review Blog listed Martin under the following category: “Judges this site gave very poor reviews to (generally very liberal)”
Regarding the new hearing, leftist reporter Brahm Resnik writes:
“UPSHOT Judge's recusal & new timeline would appear to allow Senate GOP & Cyber Ninjas to run out clock till they have to vacate Coliseum on May 14.
BUT Arizona Democratic Party attorneys tell me they've requested 'immediate hearing.' 10-day pause is boilerplate language.”
Now according to the attorneys in the case the new judge has set the hearing for Tuesday at 11AM
Update: Tomorrow's hearing will NOT be an evidentiary hearing. It will be a "return hearing", more of a let's figure out where we go from here type of hearing. That’s good news. It means that a large part of the audit could be complete before the case is resolved.

The Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission (AIRC) is considering hiring Haystaq (formerly Strategic Telemetry), Obama and Bernie’s data company to manage map creation for redistricting.
We need your help. AIRC is meeting this morning at 9AM PST. Please take a minute to comment on how inappropriate it is to use such a biased company for the Redistricting mapping process. Bernie and Obama should have zero say in what our maps look like and these guys are funded by them at the national level.
You do not need to be an Arizona resident to comment.
