Arizona Senate President, Karen Fann, still sparring with Maricopa County over vote audit

"I'm beginning to wonder if they're not as confident in their (election) system as they say they are,'' Fann told Capitol Media Services on Friday.

She was reacting to the latest refusal by county supervisors to let Senate-hired auditors review the tallying equipment and hand count the 2.1 million ballots where they are currently located at county election offices.

Fann said efforts are underway to find an alternate location.

It's not a simple matter of space. She said the very nature of having actual ballots and counting equipment requires that it be in a place that is secure 24 hours a day while also having the capability of being monitored by those who want to watch.

Dick Morris: Biden’s “Infrastructure Bill” Is a Lie – It’s a Ploy to Collectivize the Entire US

Biden’s infrastructure package is “designed to collectivize the United States, to regiment us, to unionize us, and to make us controllable and tractable as an economy.”

Stressing that “the metaphor that comes to mind is when Stalin insisted that all the farmers go to collective farms,” Morris cautioned that the main feature of the infrastructure legislation is that “you cannot get those funds unless you unionize. Davis-Bacon will control all of that spending. You have to have a union for your company to qualify. That’s going to force the entire construction industry and huge numbers of other industries into unionization.”

He also emphasized that Biden intends to make the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act part of the legislation bill, which he said would “be the greatest disaster we’ve ever had.”

Morris warned that the general public does not yet know about the PRO Act, but said that the end result would be that “nobody can work for themselves. Everybody has to be on a corporate payroll. If you are a consultant or a contractor or a freelancer, you have to close up shop and become an employee of your client or the people you contract with.”

He said that this means that some “30 to 40 million people who make their living that way are going to have to be now on payroll,” stressing that such a law is already in effect in California and has “totally deformed the economy” of that state.

Biden Prepared to Push Through “Infrastructure” Plan Without GOP Support: Energy Secretary

President Joe Biden would be prepared to push through his $2 trillion infrastructure package without the backing of Republican lawmakers, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said on Sunday.

Granholm suggested that the president may consider attempting to pass the legislation by using a budget process to cut out Republicans and to bypass the filibuster, lowering the threshold required in the upper chamber to a simple majority from 60 votes.

It was used by Senate Democrats to pass the latest COVID-19 relief package with zero Republican votes.

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas finds social media companies do not have First Amendment right to ban protected speech and that Section 230 is unconstitutional.

Justice Thomas shared his view that digital and social media platforms now wield dangerous amounts of concentrated political power that will have to be addressed by the nation’s highest court.

“Today’s digital platforms provide avenues for historically unprecedented amounts of speech, including speech by government actors,” Thomas wrote. “Also unprecedented, however, is the concentrated control of so much speech in the hands of a few private parties. We will soon have no choice but to address how our legal doctrines apply to highly concentrated, privately owned information infrastructure such as digital platforms.”
