DeSantis pulled out of the debate with Crist because he was made in a lab and would be exposed for being the awkward, doddering, borg that he is. That’s the only reason you pull out of a debate. Debates don’t have a major impact on big elections…that is unless you commit a terrible gaffe or admit something by accident (like Florida has been giving infants the vaccine all along, or that he allocated $68 million to green buses, or that his hand-picked secretary of state approved ex-offenders to vote only to arrest them now to save face). DeSantis is far more comfortable doing glossy $300,000 ads pretending to be Tom Cruise than being a debate.
