Lol at Pete Hegseth on Fox saying student debt relief will inspire the next Tea Party. It literally won’t…otherwise we would have seen protests already like we did when the Left sent their abortion harpies after our churches. Im not saying loan forgiveness is sound policy, it’s not. But “fiscal responsibility” does not mobilize the masses.
The Tea Party of ‘09 was ignited because a radical black man who hated America promised to transform the country away from anything like we’ve ever seen before. And then they had to find secondary reasons like low taxes and a balanced budget so as to not sound so reactionary. But they’re just that—secondary.
The issues that rally the troops on our side are the social ones we’re constantly told are not that popular—which is for a very pointed reason: so that we stop focusing on them, fool ourselves into thinking budgetary matters are what lights the fire in conservatives’ bellies, and lose.
