NEW: The Saudi Ministry of Defense confirms the American Embassy in Riyadh was struck by two Iranian Shahed-136 drones, leading to a fire and material damage
❗️A suspected Iranian drone attack hit the CIA’s station in Saudi Arabia in what would amount to a significant symbolic victory for the Islamic Republic as it lashes out at U.S. targets and personnel across the Middle East,

An internal State Department alert obtained by The Post said the attack “collapsed” part of the embassy’s roof and “contaminated” the inside with smoke. The notice said the embassy sustained “structural damage” and personnel “continue to shelter in place.”

While the attack amounts to a minor setback for the spy agency’s presence in Saudi Arabia, it may find significance to an embattled regime that has long viewed the CIA as its ultimate foe

Megyn Kelly:

No one should have to die for a foreign country. I don't think those service members died for the United States.

Our government's job is not to look out for Iran or Israel. It's to look out for us.

This war is clearly Israel's war.

407 days into his term, Donald Trump’s net approval rating is -19 (38% approve, 58% disapprove), down slightly from last week.

Recent declines appear linked to:

An unpopular joint US-Israel strike on Iran (only 27% supported action beforehand).

A partial government shutdown over immigration funding.

Continued dissatisfaction over inflation and prices (net -24 on this issue).

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Iran:

Cyber intelligence, signal intelligence, electronic intelligence, preventive intelligence, identifying aerial tracks, imagery intelligence, space-based... First of all, if you haven't done your homework and developed your capabilities in these areas, you shouldn't even engage in a verbal spat with Israel or America.

This is an important point. A power must be in a flawless state in these areas if it is truly preparing itself for such a struggle.

Besides that, air defense systems, radar systems, jamming systems... one needs to be very effective in these areas so that a country can protect its own airspace.

For instance, suppose they hacked phones and found the location of your leadership or others. That’s one capability. But being able to strike from the air is possible by entering your airspace and staying there for a long duration.

Israel is airstriking Iran’s internal security forces—including the IRGC, Basij militia, police units, and intelligence agencies—to weaken the regime’s ability to suppress protests and encourage a popular uprising against the government.

However, analysts say airstrikes alone are unlikely to cause regime change, since Iran’s government still controls most weapons and security forces.
