On this day back in 1997, almost 30 years ago on a day like any other when Hezbullah was defending against the Jewish enemy in south Lebanon

A group of 3 fighters clashed with an Israeli special force in Iqleem al-Tuffah, the green mountainous area.

A week after the famous Ansariyeh ambush, a large IDF force attempted to retaliate against Hezbollah positions in south Lebanon.

As soon as the IDF force was spotted, several ambushes were prepared leading to the death of 4 IDF soldier on 11-12 September 1997.

⋯ During the retreat, one group clashed with an IDF unit, leading to the death of the eldest son of Hezbullah's Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, Hadi.

Hadi, 18, was in Hezbullah's special forces units. He was killed with Haitham Moghnieh and Ali Kawtharani.

⋯ His body was captured by the IDF and was buried in Palestine till June 1998 when it was retrieved in a swap.

During the incident, 6 Lebanese soldier heroically fought alongside Hezbullah and were martyred

Jawad, Khdoor, Milad, Wael, Qandeel, and Mohammad.
