While Beirut was anticipating what would come of Aoun’s visit, who chose Riyadh for his first foreign appearance, in a desire to reconnect with the Kingdom and other Gulf states, the Kingdom gave several indications that the reliance on the visit might not be in its place, and that the Saudi satisfaction that some Lebanese are begging for has not yet been completed.


Al-Akhbar learned that Aoun received advice from the Egyptian side and other Arab officials not to rush into the visit and to postpone it until after the Arab Summit in Cairo.

Aoun only took with him Foreign Minister Youssef Rajaji, after there had been talks about the need to expedite the formation of the government, so that a ministerial delegation would accompany the President on his visit to sign more than 22 cooperation agreements in various fields.

On 5 March, US Representative Greg Steube reintroduced to Congress the Preventing Armed Groups from Engaging in Radicalism (PAGER) Act, which seeks to condition US financial aid to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) until Beirut ends “any official recognition of Hezbollah and its allies.”

Relevant sources confirmed that the Lebanese army received an order not to bring any weapons found in areas south of the Litani River into its warehouses.

There were conflicting reports about the seizure of weapons and ammunition left by the resistance at several points in the south in special warehouses, and the army destroying and detonating them directly, at the request of the United States.

❌ US and KSA are actively reviewing the resumes of the heads of Lebanese security forces and the top rank positions in Lebanon

❌ Israel is actively violating the 1701 resolution by occupying new parts of Lebanon making the resolution obsolete

✅ Hezbullah which is not a Lebanese war militia has successfully implemented and adhered to the resolution 1701 and has dimilitarized south of the Litani in compliance

🔅 What now in light of all?

❌ Lebanese official bended over for the US and Gulf Arabs without getting anything in return. No Israeli army withdrawal and no money to help the economy

✅ Their failure to force Israel to adhere to 1701 and the continued violations makes the 1701 void and legitimises the resistance in south of Litani to face an occupation

‼️ Israelis are being allowed to enter south Lebanon to pray

After the clashes and attempts to enter illegally, the IDF reached agreements with the Breslov Hasidim, according to which Hasidim praying will be allowed to enter the tomb of Rav Ashi on the Lebanese border.

Entry will be carried out in an orderly manner and with the approval, escort and security of IDF forces - to the tomb complex, which is located near Margaliot and the Tziporen post.

Officials in the Northern Command and Brigade 769 (the regional brigade) recently held talks with representatives of the Breslov Hasidim, and reached these agreements with them - in order to prevent unauthorized attempts to enter the tomb complex, as has happened several times in recent months.

The IDF has not yet responded to the details. The Lebanese cuck state is silent.
