🥀 Hezbullah secretary General Sheikh Naim Qassem says the funeral of the two late secretary generals of the party, Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safiedine will be held on Feb. 23rd.

Sheikh Qassem says Sayyed Safiedine was elected as secretary General after Sayyed Nasrallah’s assassination, but was killed by Israel before the announcement.

Safieddine will be buried in his hometown in south Lebanon as he mentioned in his will.

🥀 The official slogan of the funeral is inspired word by word from the Hezbullah pledge of alliance which goes:

📹 Sheikh Naeem Qassim on the motorcycle march:

"This act is reprehensible, it does not serve national unity, we do not agree with these manifestations and we have nothing to do with them, neither directly nor indirectly."

He also spoke againt shooting in the air, saying it is unacceptable.

Rest is is supposedly under Lebanese control although I'm not sure about Labbouneh forest and al-Hamamis hill.

🇱🇧l🇮🇱 In a vague statement with no details, the IDF issued a generic statement saying they are still deployment in south Lebanon according to the agreement with Lebanon and have dismantled x, y, z Hezbullah infrastructure.

They also claim to have murdered and kidnaped several Hezbullah members. (They are talking about the civilian protestors whom they killed and detained)

📹 The IDF also released rare footage of their controlled demolition of intact civilian houses and building in south Lebanon.

❗️ Taking advantage of the renewed presence in Lebanon, the IDF demolitioned a new set of houses and villas that have survived the war and ceasefire in Yaroun.

Israeli soldiers also burned down a lot of houses in several border towns.

📸 To comfort the Jews to coming back to northern occupied Palestine, the Israeli army released a statement by the commander of the homefront about the efforts made to talk with the community and the new security measures.

This included additional fences, new border posts, new fortified rooms and additional security

He was assassinated a few days later.

🇱🇧l🇮🇱 An large Israeli force penetrated Kfar Shouba and headed towards Kfar Hamam town despite the deployment of the Lebanese army in both towns.

Between the Shiites and Nawaf.. and the delay in forming the government:

- The Shiites demanded the finance portfolio based on the Taif Agreement, so Salam responded

- Salam demanded the names of ministers and the possibility of changing ministries, so the duo agreed and presented a group of names, more than 6 of which were rejected, so the duo agreed and changed the names

- Salam demanded a Shiite minister to be named with the participation of the President of the Republic exclusively, so the duo agreed

This flexibility from both parties (Hezbullah and Amal) builds a country, while the campaign against now on social media and irl by the Lebanese forces party, the sovereignists, and some of the changemakers is nothing but the result of disappointment after they thought that with Salam's arrival, the duo would be excluded, not caring about building the state, but rather trying to move towards eliminating the other.

They wanted to get a lot of seats in the government based on the results on the last elections, but expected Nawaf to exclude Hezullah and Amal despite getting the most votes per party and collectively...

Today, the problem has become clear in the delay in forming the government, as the Sunnis without Saad Hariri cannot agree on the portfolios, and the Christian representation is stuck between the parties as they fight over the biggiest share.

🪙 The value of Lebanon's gold reserves went up ~$1 billion in just the last two weeks. Lebanon's gold value was about $16 billion in 2020.

Today it's nearly $26 billion. BDL only needs a $49.8 billion bail-out now instead of the $50.7 billion it needed two weeks ago!
