Mossad blames gov't for sabotaging informal ties with Libya

The Mossad blamed the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs for sabotaging its ties with Libya, prompting Netanyahu to order all his ministers to refrain from any public or secret interaction unless they consult with him.

Israel's and Libya's foreign ministers Eli Cohen and Najla Mangoush met in Italy last week for the first time in history to discuss β€œpossibilities of cooperation” according to the Israeli side. Eli Cohen prematurely published information of the meeting. While thousands of Libyans hit the streets in protest, the head of Libya's Government of National Unity (GNU), Abdulhamid al-Dbeibeh, has temporarily suspended his foreign minister.
