Israeli War Minister Yoav Gallant said Monday that the likelihood of an outbreak of violence with Hezbullah in Lebanon was mounting, calling on United Nations peacekeepers to work to reduce the recently raised tensions.

⋯ The minister demanded an “immediate UN intervention in deescalating tensions” by strengthening and increasing the freedom of movement of the UN force, in the border area.

⋯ Gallant showed the UN chief the deployment of dozens of Hezbullah posts along the border, including a tent erected within Israeli-occupied territory, and increasing patrols and presence by the group operatives in the area.

Mossad blames gov't for sabotaging informal ties with Libya

The Mossad blamed the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs for sabotaging its ties with Libya, prompting Netanyahu to order all his ministers to refrain from any public or secret interaction unless they consult with him.
