Rape in the Lebanese embassy in France?

Two former female embassy employees accused Lebanon's ambassador in France, Rami Adwan, of rape, psychological and physical violence.

French judiciary asked Lebanon to remove his diplomatic protection.

Gebran Basil is expected to officially announce the presidential bid of Jihad Azour soon.

This will be followed by support from the opposition (17-October parties), in addition to Kataeb party, Lebanese forces party, and various others.

Gebran Basil contacted Hezbullah and informed them he'll support Jihad Azour, but this doesn't mean he'll go all the way to get him elected.

⛰ The earthquake felt in Lebanon a few days ago was caused by an explosion inside a mountain, used to harvest rocks. The explosion took place deep inside, and above a fault line on a tectonic plate triggering an earthquake 15 ⁠km deep in Zahleh.

MP Michel Moawad announced, during a press conference this evening, that he has withdrawn his candidacy for the presidency, saying: 

"I decided to contribute to the nomination of Jihad Azour, and we shall relentlessly continue our battle."
