Fasting Benefits:
فواید روزه گرفتن:

Fasting has numerous benefits for the body, which vary depending on different perspectives such as traditional and scientific medical viewpoints.

The following are nine important benefits of fasting that will surprise you:

1. Unique Solution for Weight Loss
Fasting is a distinctive solution for weight loss, provided it is done correctly. Improper fasting may lead to weight gain instead of weight loss. During fasting, the body uses stored fat as a source of energy when you abstain from consuming foods containing sugar. All stored fat is converted to daily energy needs, leaving no unused fat that would cause weight gain.

2. Increases Growth Hormone Levels

Human growth hormone is beneficial for athletes as it speeds up recovery time and helps build muscles faster. Those who plan to fast should prepare to increase their growth hormone levels. Fasting causes the body to burn stored fat instead of muscles, allowing you to maintain your muscle mass and even build it.

3. Lowers Cholesterol Levels
The body's ability to control weight loss affects cholesterol levels reduction. There are two types of cholesterol, bad cholesterol (LDL) and good cholesterol (HDL). Some studies have shown that during fasting, bad cholesterol levels decrease significantly, while good cholesterol levels remain unaffected.

4. Improves Brain Function
Fasting stimulates the production of a special protein called Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor (BDNF), which is beneficial for brain function. This type of protein stimulates brain stem cells to have optimal function. During fasting, you will be more alert instead of feeling tired and unfocused because your brain works much better.

5. Helps to Quit Bad Habits
Ramadan is an ideal time to quit bad habits such as smoking and consuming sweet foods as you have to fast all day. Fasting helps us reduce bad habits and improves our diet.

6. Strengthens the Immune System
In a study on animals, it was found that when animals are sick, their instincts tell them to rest and avoid eating. This is true for humans too, as during fasting, we give our internal system a break to enable the body to focus on fighting infections. The amount of free radicals also decreases during fasting.

7. Improves Digestive System
The Chinese believe that the center and core of the human body is in their stomach. Scientifically, the stomach is the source of everything and does the most difficult and most work in the body. During fasting, you give your stomach a break to allow it to renew its strength, detoxify or even cleanse itself, and when your stomach is ready to work again, it will do so with renewed vigor.

8. Has Amazing Benefits for the Skin
Fasting provides amazing benefits for the skin, resulting in healthier and shinier skin with no sign of acne or wrinkles. During fasting, the body has the opportunity to detoxify itself from toxic substances while improving the process of cell regeneration and slowing down the process of cell degeneration.

9. Reduces Blood Sugar Levels
Fasting increases glucose breakdown so that the body can obtain energy, reducing insulin production and allowing the pancreas to rest. Glycogen is produced to facilitate glucose breakdown during fasting, resulting in reduced blood sugar levels, which is especially beneficial for diabetic patients.
