In response to some serious misunderstanding on a different Telegram channel, I am posting here as well, just in case.
No actually I made the decision before they could. I was hours away from the endorsement but I declined it because speaking out against Wendy Rogers would have been detrimental anyway. It was a hard decision but when I asked Wendy Rogers to just explain that she does not ascribe to the anti-Jewish hate and that she didn’t mean to post a picture of a rhinoceros that she killed with a Jewish star on it, she refused. All she had to do was say that she supports his first amendment rights but she doesn’t agree with what he is saying. She instead posted the meme of her shooting the Jewish rhino. I am so very sorry to all of you, I thought Wendy was our strongest chance and I am devastated. I don’t like having to do this but I also cannot stay silent in order to benefit myself and get the endorsement. I did not vote to censure her because I wasn’t there that day. The following day I asked her to put into the journal that she was speaking of First Amendment rights and that she didn’t align herself with his rhetoric and she refused. I was left without any choice. If that still upsets you then I am sorry but I am not going to make a different choice when in the face of such serious hate.

Because I am being accused of being against the 1st Amendment, I want to post this so you can see for yourself my stance on this very unfortunate situation. Nowhere in my speech did I stifle anyone’s speech. If you disagree, please tell me where I did.

Sen. Kelly Townsend Discusses Censure of Sen. Wendy Rogers
Arizona State Senator Kelly Townsend explained how she would have voted on the previous day’s censure vote against State Senator Wendy Rogers, who has garnered national attention for her associations
Regarding the debacle with the precinct committeeman being removed as elected PCs, I want you to know that many of us are quite upset at how this happened and will not move forward with anything else until it is fixed. It is my recommendation that the entire thing is repealed and repeated correctly this time. We will be meeting tomorrow to discuss.
I am glad that after a caucus meeting we are moving in the right direction. I will keep you guys posted on the precinct committeeman issue, just know that I have your back and we will get this fixed.
If you are not sure about what a precinct committeeman is, perhaps a silver lining to this dust up is that maybe we can get you recruited. Go to www.beapc.com to learn more about how you can get involved.
STATEMENT FROM KELLY TOWNSEND
(State Capitol, March 8th, 2022) – After hearing from a surprising number of people in my legislative district asking me to stand and fight, I have filed for re-election to the State Senate.
I recognize that, with the redistricting commission’s late change, this means a GOP primary with a fellow State Senator, but the events of the last week or so make it clear that only one of us can effectively advance the causes we all claim to care about.
Hanging out with white supremacists, endorsing them, and declaring them the finest of patriots is all something Wendy Rogers has a constitutional right to do. But good and decent people are also free to find it repulsive and un-American. America was founded on ideals that are far better than that, our Republican Party was forged by the long and bloody fight to preserve our founding ideals, and today’s Republican Party is the party of every American, regardless of their ethnicity or national origin.
I have a long-standing record of being there for my constituents. I believe what sets me apart is my ability to take care of the folks I represent, as well as others in the state, with impartiality and regardless of their party affiliation or background. I have a solid conservative voting record, and a far-reaching record of defending people’s God-given rights. I will run on that platform and am confident the voters will know they are voting for a true public servant.
I’m proud of my record, both as a legislator, and as a human being. I’m glad to be able to give voters a choice this August, and I look forward to hearing from all of them along the way.

I wish I was in that district. I like both candidates but if I had to choose, I would choose Townsend. She has responded (or her staff has) to many of my emails when my own senator has never once responded to me. She was there to guide me through the covid mess and I won’t forget it. She is a bulldog and I appreciate her resolve. Rogers says it like it is and I love her for that. She is also fighter for sure, but she does surround herself with some people that I think are on the extreme side. I truly wish we did not have to choose either or. We need them both. But I’d choose Townsend every time.
Today I have 3 important election bills on the board, & I expect Paul Boyer will kill them. He killed three others along with Ugenti-Rita earlier this week. #DejaVu.

Now that they’ve managed to coerce most of the population into taking an experimental jab, they admit it was an ‘encroachment on fundamental rights’!!!
Happy that it’s over but still so angry that they went so far!!!! 🤬

Austria suspends law forcing all adults to have Covid jabs and admits the 'encroachment of fundamental rights' is not justified
The Alpine nation of nine million people was one of the few countries in the world to make jabs against the coronavirus compulsory for all adults.
