White Rose Chat Channel Announcement.

However, as the number of members has grown, the channel has increasingly become infested with endless low-effort reposting from other channels. Real discussion is being squeezed out, members are being discouraged, and our dedicated admins are increasingly frustrated by the lack of focus and dedication to our founding purpose.

So in future, the admins are going to crack down a little bit more on what we consider to be spam posting. Here are some guidelines to follow:

We want to see lots of this:
1 - Photos of stickers you’ve spotted in your local area.
2 - Lively discussion.
3 - Information about upcoming activist events / protests etc.
4 - Limited amounts of relevant external content, accompanied by your thoughts.

We don’t really want to see very much of this:
6 - Reposting/forwarding from various other channels.
7 - Reposting/forwarding from a single channel (self-promotion).

We definitely don’t want to see any of this.
8 - Obvious spam (crypto, advertising, impersonation etc.)
9 - Incitement, racism, pornography etc.

Users who post lots of 1, 2 & 3 will be loved and celebrated by all.
Users who post lots of 6 & 7 will possibly find themselves restricted, unless they also contribute lots of 1 & 2
Users who post 8 & 9 are liable to be fully banned, possibly without warning.
