Two of Arizona’s New Election Integrity Laws Face Lawsuits

State Representative Jake Hoffman (R-Queen Creek), who sponsored HB 2492, told The Arizona Sun Times, “Since Jim Crow, when the courts were used by Democrats to institutionalize racism against black Americans, the Democrat Party and their operatives have a long track record of exploiting the judiciary branch of our government as a back door for enacting their anti-civil rights agenda.”

He added, “Make no mistake, Democrats have made it clear with their lawsuits against my legislation that they want non-citizens to vote in U.S. elections — a direct assault on the right of every American to free and secure elections.”

As the top administrator of government-run schools in Arizona, Democrat Kathy Hoffman and the Arizona [Department] of Education are promoting online chats that mix "minors with adults" for discussions about sex with children as young as 13 years old. Facilitated in part by Planned Parenthood, it does not require parental approval to join, encourages children to hide their involvement from their parents, and features discussions on sex and polyamorous relationships.

According to Not In Our Schools, “children are asked to give personal information and it is a mystery as to what is done with this information and who is chatting with them on the other end.  There is a possibility sexual groomers may access minors through these chats.”

The law prohibits children's use of or referral to textual, visual, or audio materials that contain graphic depictions — literal or simulated — of sexual conduct, sexual excitement, or sexual acts (e.g., normal sex, sodomy, and masturbation).
