Not many of their kind live on today; yet, Padraic Pearse was of their company, and we can conceive him, who thought Cuchulain and Colmcille of greater educational value than Ransome or Macaulay, thinking, worshipping, and teaching in the place of the old ascetics.

And so, some day, our youth will no longer be taught in the cities and suburbs, but in re-arisen universities and schools at Clonmacnoise, amid the windy Shannon waters; on Tory Island, amid storm and under terrific sunset lights; on Inis Ceata, where the Round Towers are reflected in Lough Derg.

In these frugal and austere abodes of faith and vision, young Éire will gather intellectual and spiritual riches, and will grow strong in body, heroic in mind; “the Tain shall come again in mighty cycles,” and a manhood arise among whom Colmcille might walk as he walked with his companions of old:

“Another Eire shall arise
And to remoter time,
Bequeath, like sunset to the skies,
The splendour of her prime.”

Yann Goulet, born in Brittany, was a former member of the French Section of the Workers international, Frances socialist party but than joined the Breton Nationalist Party or Strollad Broadel Breizh. During World War II, Goulet fought for the French but was captured by the Germans on June 11, 1940 after blowing up a bridge to slow the German advance.

In 1941 he became the leader of Bagadou Stourm, Breton nationalist stormtroopers allied with the Germans. The promotion of Bagadou Stourm officers was titled "Patrick Pearse” in honor of of the 25th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising in Dublin.

After Frances liberation, Goulet fled to Ireland with his family and was sentenced to death as a Nazi collaborator after he left. He & his family were taken in by Oscar McCarthy Willis, first at his house in Dalkey, & later in Bray, where they settled.

They became Irish citizens in 1952, for the rest of his life he became a Sculptor and created public works commemorating the IRA, many of which still stand today like the Custom House Memorial in Dublin and the Ballyseedy Memorial in Kerry (second pic).

In the later years of the 1960s, he announced that he was the leader of the Breton Liberation Front, a paramilitary group dedicated to violently seeking Breton independence. In 1968 the Head of Police in Bray Ireland personally congratulated him on orchestrating attacks in Saint-Brieuc. In 1999, Goulet passed in Bray just two days after his 85th birthday.

The Migrant Rights Centre, a lobby group for illegals, is pushing for all illegals to be "regularised". JFU here stands for Justice For the Undocumented which is the name of their campaign.

It's Hazel Chu endorsed. You can see she retweeted it. Chu pretends to care about housing and homeless and the standard of living etc but at the end of the day, the fewer Irish people in Ireland, the happier she is I suspect. Even better if we are forced to compete for resources with endless numbers of migrants, legal or not.

As part of this new phenomenon of Fredrick Douglass week, Africans here have been getting together for whine-athons on zoom. Just like any other week so...

Douglass was a black slave abolitionist who toured Ireland in the mid 1800s delivering a series of anti-slavery speeches to approving crowds, unaware that he would subsequently blame their forced starvation during the Gorta Mór on what he perceived as their filthy, drunken, lazy, Catholic nature — no doubt keen to impress the Anglo bourgeois elite he associated with.

The history of Nigerians in Ireland is a recent tale of abuse of our asylum system, citizenship laws and generosity which is why Ola Majekodunmi is desperate to "educate" us on some obscure slave owners with Irish sounding names in the Caribbean to make us compliant targets of racial grievance.

But if it's slave owners she's interested in, she only needs to look at her own family background: While Douglass was touring Ireland, the original Majekodunmi was a slave master in Nigeria.
They’re trying so hard to force African heritage into Ireland that the best they can find is an African American ex-slave that came to Ireland for a few months and gave lectures to rich Protestants Whigs while the Irish population was starving to death and being thrown out of their homes where he commented on how the famine was the Irish peoples fault for being drunk - that’s the best and only link these people claim to Ireland prior to 1960s and mostly 1990/00s

Truly pathetic
Some fellas girlfriend got scammed on r/Ireland by what seems to be Adeola, possibly a Nigerian Prince.

Dr Pat Morrissey in Limerick tells Joe Duffy he won't be personally administering the covid-19 vaccine to his patients but he will be ensuring patients at his practice are properly consented and fully informed as possible about experimental gene therapies. Dr Morrissey says there are other alternatives to vaccination and explains what they are.

"I suspect there's a broad range of opinion among the public but you wouldn't know that listening to the TV or radio."

Isn't that the truth.
"He [Brian Boru] built and set in order public schools for the teaching of letters and the sciences in general, and he also gave the price of books and expenses to each one who could not defray the expenses and who desired to devote himself to learning. He freed all the Gaels from every species of oppression to which the foreigner subjected them; and every territory which he took from the foreigner by the strength of his arm, he gave it not to any of his own tribe, but gave each territory to the tribe in Ireland to whom it belonged of right."

From Seathrún Céitinn's 17th century work on Irish history "Foras Feasa ar Éirinn" (Foundation of Knowledge on Ireland).

Seathrún Céitinn, a priest from Tipperary, sought to prevent Ireland's past being forgotten during the Penal Times. He wrote large sections of the text while in hiding from English authorities, often in a cave in the Galtee Mountains according to tradition.

Foras Feasa promoted an early Irish nationalist worldview and would become the most influential work on Irish history ever written.
