This was in response to populist movements like Occupy Wall Street. Due to discontent over the 2008 Crash and the economic fallout after it, the oligarchs had to find ways to stamp out any resistance. Occupy Wall Street was quickly gay op if you watch the videos from the period. Afterwards and around the time of the GaymerGate stuff, the oligarchs and their institutions started then pumping out the Anti-White hatred they had been sowing for decades in order to deflect the anger of the populace towards white people in a divide and conquer strategy.

The left had already switched form caring about the economic system to social justice issues like divorce, gay marriage, abortion etc around the time Michel Foucault took LSD in Death Valley 1975. Thus in the 2010s, after the Left had already been doing the bidding of the oligarchs in terms of the Sexual Revolution and social justice issues, the oligrachs then got the left in academia to attack white people and shift the blame of the system from the Oligarchs (who are jewish not white mostly) to white people thereby creating this idea of white privilege and saying to minorities and midwit whites that it is all the white mans problem that society is the way it is.

That is why you see all the terms popping up around 2012 because it was to remove the discontent the populace had on the system from the elites onto white people, who are going to take the blame for everything the elites do.
