🎥✊ Göttingen joined the Kobane day actions! ✊

On January 26, 2015, the people of Kobanê liberated themselves from IS. Today, 10 years later, the revolution of North and East Syria is the symbol of freedom and hope of the 21st century.

Now, the people of Rojava are driving to the Tişrîn Dam in their thousands. There they are proving the immense determination of the revolution. With Tişrîn they are protecting Kobanê and with Kobanê they are protecting the democratic and peaceful future of all of Syria. The bombing of the peace vigil on the Tişrîn Dam is an attack on all.

Revolutionary history is being written on the Tişrin Dam at this very moment. At the same time, the Federal Republic of Germany is actively supporting terror with arms deals worth millions. It is our responsibility to take our place in the resistance of Tişrîn - organized and with the certainty: Tişrîn will not fall! Kobanê will not fall! Resistance means life!

YPJ Fighter from the Tishreen front: "Let's support each other and unite"

Since early December the SDF, YPJ and YPG have been fighting against Turkey and the SNA mercenaries at the Tishreen front. The resistance that has been waged there especially by Kurdish and Arab youths brought the offensive to stop and broke to will and moral of Turkey's mercenaries.
Hêlîn Amanos calls on the youth to join the defence and stand side by side against the occupiers.

Global women demand democracy, gender equality in new Syria

In a powerful open letter, over 650 women from across the globe call for international recognition of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) and demand a democratic Syria built on gender equality and grassroots governance.

“Now is the time to strengthen the democratic forces in the Middle East, like the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), and to stand with the women fighting for freedom, peace, and democracy in Syria!” declared over 650 women leaders, activists, and organisations from around 40 countries in an open letter addressed to United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and other global leaders on Tuesday.

Documenting Turkish war crimes

Over the past 30 days, 40 civilians have been martyred in drone attacks by the Turkish state. Over 270 civilians have been injured.
Only yesterday, the market of Sirrin town was hit, killing 12 civilians, many underaged. Turkish media claim to have hit SDF fighters in this bombing, while it actually continues targeting civilians with impunity.
