International Astronomy Center: Satellite Falls Observed in Saudi Skies
A friend of the International Astronomy Center, Khaled Al-Baridi, from the Al-Bukayriyah region of Al-Qassim, Saudi Arabia was able to photograph the debris of a falling satellite. After conducting astronomical calculations, the International Astronomy Center determined that the satellite observed falling was Starlink 5314, numbered 55678. It began entering the atmosphere above the Kingdom's skies at 7:25 PM Saudi time, moving from north to south, as shown in the attached map. This phenomenon was visible from large parts of the Saudi Arabia, including Riyadh, Jeddah, Mecca, and Medina.
It should be noted that this satellite was launched on February 17, 2023, and shortly before re-entered the atmosphere and burned up almost completely. Only minor debris, which poses no significant risk, is expected to have reached Earth.
