بروزرسانی های جدید شامل موارد زیر می باشد :

به روز رسانی Nanite، مانند Nanite Tessellation که به شما امکان می دهد بدون بزرگتر کردن مش روی دیسک(افزایش سایز فایل)، به جلوه بصری بسیار بالاتری دست یابید.

Animation takes big strides forward with 5.4. It includes Motion Matching, a simple and efficient way to animate characters in game

پیاده سازی Motion Matching که یک ویژگی پیشرفته برای ساخت انیمیت کاراکتر در بازی هست (منظور کی‌فریم زدن نیست بلکه انتخاب فایل انیمیشن درست بر اساس شرایط فعلی کاراکتر هست)‌. در همین رابطه به زودی اپیک پروژه سمپل با ۵۰۰ فایل انیمیشنی AAA رو منتشر خواهد کرد.

سیستم PCG اپدیت جدید دریافت خواهد کرد.

همچنین ابزار های MetaHuman شامل مدل سازی و انیمیشن به Unreal Editor for Fortnite اضافه خواهد شد که میتونن ازش برای ساخت کاراکتر NPC استفاده کنند.
