Free salvation =\= filthy living

“For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Salvation is free! No strings attached. We are bought with a price…therefore glorify God! God bought you to be reconciled to Him and we are to be an advertisement to the unsaved. When we live like the world, it’s false advertisement and inadvertently we are denying Christ who lives in us! Christ held up His end of the deal…NOW LETS HOLD UP OUR END!

“Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.”

Great service today. Opening hymn was “Trust and Obey”, the message was on submission, and every mother went home with a gift basket of dish soap, wash clothes, and a cookbook.

We enjoy the books of Samuel but often forget the very first chapter is dedicated to his mother, Hannah. What a magnificent example she set of submission, sweetness amidst hardship, and love for the Lord. We often pray for more Samuels, but how often are we guilty of not praying for more Hannah’s? Happy Mother’s Day!

Proverbs 31:

Content? Never claimed to have it.

What a pity it is for one to post this passage (even from a non KJV) and still die and go to hell because their trust is in the Catholic Church and Mary instead of Jesus Christ alone. Truly sad.

To obey is better than sacrifice.

II Thessalonians 3:14,15 KJV - “And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed. 15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.”

1 Corinthians 7:1 -

Do yourself a favor this week in church: Look around and see who is there as a direct result of you inviting them. It’s not the pastors job alone to win souls and get new converts to church. If there’s no one there because of you, you aren’t the rockstar church member you think you are. If we were more consumed with winning souls and seeing them grow, we’d be less critical of non-consequential issues at the church house. People show up to church with themselves every week and think this somehow impresses God. Win someone! Bring someone!
