The tech giant is introducing a new feature which will allow businesses to accept credit card payments with just a tap on their iPhones. (Reuters)

The feature will allow all kinds of payments between iPhones, using near field communications technology.

Apple assures users it will not have any data of what they are purchasing on the network.

Cat-kicking Footballer NOT BANNED after Shocking Abuse posted on Snapchat (WARNING - Upsetting Content)

Kurt Zouma, a French professional paid millions to kick a football, has been captured in a bizarre animal abuse video posted on social media.

He was temporarily suspended by his London club West Ham United but featured in a match Tuesday night, and although the police will not investigate the matter, animal charity the RSPCA has launched a petition which has gathered thousands of signatures.

Zouma issued a public apology in which he claimed he was “deeply sorry” and “loved and cherished” his cats.

Satellite photos show towns on Madagascar's west coast before and after the impact of Cyclone Batsirai, which has killed at least 20 people over the weekend.

Nearly 50,000 people were displaced as entire villages were reportedly swept away by the cyclone, which brought winds of 235km/h (146mph).

Karaganov reveals that Moscow knows that NATO’s Article Five is "hollow" & concedes that Russia itself is to blame for the current situation "by being weak and trusting our Western partners."

But he adds that the Kremlin has learnt its lesson & this won't happen anymore.

He goes on to say that "NATO is not an immediate threat," as it's not much of a fighting force (see Afghanistan), but Moscow reckons that "if NATO used to be a defensive bloc, it has degenerated into an aggressive one" & that's why it's determined to stop its growth.

He concludes: "Europe without Russia or even against it has been rapidly losing its international clout... we are too big & proud to be absorbed. Our pitch (to the West) was rejected then (in the 1990s), but there is always a chance it won’t be this time."

Geomagnetic Storm Takes Out Dozens of SpaceX Satellites

SpaceX has revealed it could lose nearly all of the 49 Starlink satellites it launched last week, due to a geomagnetic storm striking Earth's outer atmosphere.

The phenomenon occurs when solar flares change atmospheric density - it cause the satellites to lose altitude and burn up.

SpaceX explains its low altitude satellites are to ensure malfunctioning ones don't become space junk, destroyed when they fail and deorbit.

French Energy Giant Shuts Down Nuclear Power Plants

EDF has announced corrosion issues at a number of reactors that require safety system control checks. The shutdown of three more nuclear plants will further burden a decline in electricity supplies in France. (Le Monde)

The Chinon 3, Cattenom 3 and Bugey 4 reactors will be shut down in the coming months, according to data published on EDF's website. Similar corrosion problems have already been confirmed in at least four other reactors.

EDF has however ruled out any blackouts, despite massively lowering output expectations for this year.
