My mother used DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide, a wood extract) in the late 70s. Essentially, it is sulfur.. Back then, I knew nothing about genes (enzymes) like SUOX and their role in managing toxins via the sulfation pathway In functional genomics, we have a good idea of how well someone's sulfation pathway works, and whether/how sulfur like DMSO can help them clear toxins.
What works for me may not be the best thing for you! Based on my own detective work, looking at genes, organic acids and symptoms ... I use chondroiton sulfate to assist my body in clearing toxins via sulfation.
