🔸 In a surprising move, Swedish SD spokesman said that the government will look into ways to revoke residency permits of immigrants who do not live an 'honest life'

⚠️ Justice Minister Gunnar Strömer stated that he requested a report on revocation of citizenships especially in cases of serious crimes, terrorism or if the immigrant lied when applying for citizenship

These statements and possibly future actions might set important precedents on how to deal with illegal immigrants and 'asylees', something that has been called for a long time using mechanisms that are already recognized in most countries once naturalized citizens may lose their citizenship and residency permits are even easier to revoke

Nevertheless, actions have more value than words, Sweden is still to take strong action against immigrant gangs or even immigration as a whole

Hopefully with the implementation of such ideas, this would validate and attract the attention of other European countries to the point where this would finally become common practice

🔸 Three palestinians aged 24, 22 and 22 and an 18-year-old Egyptian have been arrested

🔸 Several immigrants damaged the doors and beds of almost every room in their wing, they also emptied the fire extinguishers all over the building. When staff tried to intervene they were attacked with bottles and other objects including fruits. The immigrants then tried to breach the metal fence to flee but failed

🔸 There was no apparent reason for the incident, the four arrested were the ones who managed to climb the fence and flee before the authorities arrived

‼️ The reason is clear and happens regularly, immigrants willingly damage their own camps so that the government is forced to transfer them elsewhere, it was the case for every riot and every fire in every camp in Greek islands and even in Thrace where immigrants attempt to be moved closer or in big cities

🔴 🌚 New legislation will grant legal status to illegal immigrants after 3 years of staying in Greece

A new type of residence permit for migrants is created by Article 4 of the amendment submitted today to the Ministry of Labour and Social Security's insurance bill. The amendment was submitted by the Ministry of Migration and Asylum and concerns third-country migrants living in Greece.

According to information from parapolitika.gr, this amendment provides that third-country migrants who have been residing in Greece without a permit until November 30, 2023, for three years, now have the right to be granted a legal residence permit by the Secretariat of the Decentralized Administration.

It is noted that until now illegal migrants, i.e. those who had not applied for asylum or had been rejected, could under very strict conditions apply for a residence permit, and in particular only if they had completed 7 years of continuous presence in the country.
Now, article 4 simplifies the requirements and those who have entered illegally until 30.11.23 and have stayed 3 instead of 7 years in the country, can acquire a special residence permit for themselves and their families. So the requirements are reduced by 4 years.

This development seems to be linked to the fact that there is pressure for labour, especially for agricultural workers, with the government coming to intervene catalytically in this matter. It is estimated that around 28,000 workers are affected by this measure.

🔴 Turkish lawyer involved with illegal sale of property in Occupied Cyprus arrested in Italy

🔸 A warrant was issued against the Turk, Hakan kurshat, by Cyprus in 2007 as the lawyer was connected to the illegal sale of properties in Occupied Cyprus to foreigners or Turkish occupiers. Other Turks were also involved and now avoid traveling to Europe so they wont get arrested

🔸 Hakan Kurshat was arrested in Rome on December 30 and is being held by the Italian police pending extradition to the Republic of Cyprus to face trial

🔸 "If Kurshat is not released or if the Italian authorities hand him over to the Greek Cypriot administration, the reputation of the tdvk (pseudocracy) will be damaged and unrest will be caused among the Turkish Cypriots . The Holy Synod of the Church of Greece unanimously agreed at a meeting on Tuesday that it is “strongly opposed” to the Greek government’s promised bill on same-sex marriage and adoption.

“The initiators of the bill and those who agree with it are promoting the abolition of fatherhood and motherhood and their transformation into neutral parenthood, the disappearance of gender roles within the family and the placing of the sexual choices of homosexual adults above the interests of future children,” the Holy Synod said in a press release.

The conservative New Democracy government has promised to bring forward a bill allowing same-sex civil marriages, although it is still unclear when it will be tabled.
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis told the Greek public broadcaster ERT that the bill will also give same-sex couples the right to adopt, but not to have children through surrogacy.

🔸 Recently riots and fights have become very common in immigrant camps in Greece, this week started with yet another fight, two immigrants were injured

‼️ As soon as the ambulance arrived, it was attacked with rocks, damaging the vehicle and causing injury to the driver who was later also examined
