The Rapture of the Church in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, describes the moment when believers will be suddenly taken by the Lord to meet Him in the air. This will be a fast, unexpected and glorious event.
In parallel, in Acts 8:39, Philip was "taken away" by the Spirit of the Lord immediately after baptizing the eunuch. This one simply states that Philip had disappeared (invisible disappearance) proof of a sudden and sovereign action of God in the rapture of the church....
Enoch was abducted by God not to see death (Genesis 5:24; Hebrews 11:5), while Paul testifies that he was raptured to the “third heaven” (2 Corinthians 12:2-4).
These two experiences demonstrate the sovereign action of God: Enoch was taken permanently to Him (God), while Paul received an exceptional and supernatural heavenly revelation.
The Greek word "Harpazo" means "to seize, to remove forcefully, and to pluck suddenly.”
Matthew 11:12: "The violent take it (Harpazo)".
John 10:28-29: "No one will snatch them (Harpazo) out of my hand".
