Today an established Active Club formally launches in North Dakotaβ¦
βIt was a pleasure to deal with a man of high ideals, who scorned everything mean and base, and who possessed those robust and hardy qualities of body and mind, for the lack of which no merely negative virtue can ever atone.β
These were the words of Theodore Roosevelt in his descriptions of the Roughriders, an elite band of men who answered the highest calls of duty in their time. We, the men of North Dakota today, adopt their namesake to renew the calls for a band of such men in these troublesome times, men who would take the first step towards rebuilding their nation.
