That was Quentin Deranque.

Quentin, a mathematics student from Lyon, was murdered by anti-fascists on the street at the age of just 23.

Who was Quentin?
– He was a student of data science at the University of Lyon.
– He was originally from the Isère region.
– He had recently converted to Catholicism.
– He was a regular visitor to the Saint-Georges parish in Lyon (I always went there when I was visiting).
– He was involved in helping the poor (Saint-Martin soup kitchen).
– He was active in sports (tennis and boxing training) and interested in philosophy.

Those who knew him describe him as calm, intellectual, religious, and full of joy of life. According to his family, he always advocated nonviolent activism. He was formerly a member of the royalist movement Action Française.

Quentin is a hero. He was a patriot, a Catholic, a traditionalist, and an activist. He lived his values until his death. He was not a thug, a poser, or an online hero. He was a French man his country could be proud of. A true son of a nation of heroes and saints. Quentin received the last rites before his death.
He will live forever in our memory.
Let us pray for his soul and fight for his memory.

A classic Leftist technique: first they murder your friend, then they spit in your face, then they rape your sister, then they burn down your house, then they shoot your father, then they launch a media attack on you, then they impale your uncle on a stake, then they burn down the neighboring village, then they fill a pit with your fellow villagers and lock you up in a gulag for two decades.

"Violent radical leftism is on the rise and its role in Quentin Deranque's death demonstrates the threat it poses to public safety," the US State Department’s bureau of counter-terrorism posted on social media. Under-secretary for public diplomacy Sarah Rogers said that Washington was watching the case closely.
"Once you decide to kill people for their opinions instead of persuade them, you've opted out of civilisation," she posted.
