Bungie gives up on Destiny 2: the game will no longer get any updates after the upcoming final one.

This news appeared after the commercial reports revealed that the studio is the financial black hole and caused over $700m losses for PlayStation during the last financial year alone.

PlayStation acquired Bungie for $3.6 Bn in January of 2022. The studio that was earning around $200m annually and not growing. One active project, another one in pre-production. No significant IPs in their pockets, no reason to value it that high.

They made it a support machine for all the multiplayer projects (all of which failed commercially or were closed before the release). It diverted their focus from Destiny 2. And now their own Marathon is $700m+ in losses.

What business strategy is that?

Game: Valorant
AC: Vanguard (VGK)
Today’s Vanguard anti-cheat update blocked the majority of DMA firmwares using SATA/NVMe.

VGK suddenly triggered an IOMMU restart warning in-game, after which the DMA firmware becomes completely unusable, even without the game running or after uninstalling Vanguard. Only fix is a full OS reinstall.

It’s using IOMMU to create read blocks, which permanently breaks the majority of almost all SATA/NVMe firmwares once triggered.

Even the advanced H2-board got affected.

It seems that the charger Valve made for the new Steam Controller is always on and pointed upwards. In case anyone place even remotely conductive materials on top, the charger will shorten. Yes, your body is also conductive...

This definitely violates several safety regulations in North America and Europe, which most likely going to force Valve to redesign and replace all charges. As of now, one charger went off due to smart watch band placed on top. And now we have the official "we are investigating" response from the company, who will replace the device (with exactly the same one).

Oddly enough, the same exact issue already exists in the charger of other gamepads, like 8BitDo Ultimate 2. But due to limited requirements for such devices, they are being sold without independent testing.
