Where are the further changes GGG said would be coming for ground loot?

In 3.28, GGG doubled the amount of currency drops as a safe, easy fix while they figured out the ground loot situation. In the ZiggyD Q&A from 3.28, Mark says as much at \~16 minutes into the video (https://youtu.be/EBv6SfYnNSg?t=959), that this was the safe change that they went with instead of more dangerous changes and that we should "expect more in the future". If they think there isn't much need for more changes then fair enough (though we shall see in the upcoming league of course if they are right), but it would be nice to get an insight into their mindset on this.

Appear offline

So i made a thread like this years ago and did not find a solution. How do i make myself appear offline to the friends list? I have some friends who will instantly whisper me if they see me online why i am not in discord and even call me irl if i do not reply to the whispers and interriogate why i am playing alone right now. It is really killing my start of league enjoyment because i do not want to play with them but i am friends IRL and i enjoy spending time with them IRL. This is really bugging me deeply because i know they will interriogate me and be mad at me for months if i say i just want to play alone.

It has been years since i asked it before but it is 2026 now and there must be a solution?

Betrayal continues to be slowly stripped down from its value.

For quite a few leagues, Betrayal has been getting direct or indirect nerfs systematically.

While not mechanic-breaking, with the socket changes, it further nerfs the value of white sockets and Betrayal.

Does Betrayal need some more love now? I love Betrayal and the changes to veiled currencies and Catarina being a token, but right now the mechanic starts feeling like a bit of a husk of what it was.

Will Luminary's permanent mercenary be able to re-enter areas it dies in?

I played aurabot + merc in 3.26, all the way to 100 and a couple pieces mirrored for my mercs. Absolute blast of a build and am likely going to league start it, but there's kind of one big hangup... the merc dying.

Back in 3.26, this wasn't a problem; everyone had a permanent merc, so it was something everyone dealt with anyway. The other thing I see people compare it to is AG builds, where if AG dies in a map you lose the map. That's all well and good, but one thing to keep in mind is that AG is just a build. Luminary is a whole ass ascendancy.

Luminary is an entire ascendancy built around having a permanent merc. During progression, the merc will probably die. Not super often, but not uncommon either. I'm worried that this entire ascendancy is going to effectively be a one-portal ascendancy until/unless you get gg gear for character + merc right off the rip.

I would strongly consider letting permanent mercs rejoin areas they die in, if this isn't already the plan. If not, then Luminary is straight up not ever an option as a first character.

EDIT: My biggest concern is that there are changes to the intrinsic tankiness/DR of mercs, and that will cause them to die far more often than we were used to in the past.

With Mercenaries going core, I think it would be really cool to enable MTX on them

I think it would be really cool to let us mtx up our mercs, spells and armour too. Imagine how many cool combinations we could make. Especially skill mtx too. It would let us use some more of our mtx that is just rotting in the mtx stash.

It feels wrong having an archetype where i can't even use my skill mtx. Missed opportunity really

The biggest buff of the patch that no one talks about: Barrage support

# Why this title ?

tldr: 50% More Damage in 3.29

Barrage support was insanely buffed in 3.29.
Previously, Barrage support went from 3 additional projectiles, with 62% less damage, to 4 projectiles and 44% less. In exchange, the attack time per projectile went from 5% to 10%.

Let's do the quick math (hypotheses : 1 initial proj, single target):

>Total damage mult = total proj*damage multiplier
= 4*0.38 = 1.52
= 5*0.56 = 2.8

>Total attack time mult = 1+total proj*attack time mult
= 1+4*0.05 = 1.2
= 1+5*0.1 = 1.5

>DPS mult = Total damage mult / Total attack time mult
= 1.52/1.2 = 1.26
= 2.8/1.5 = 1.86

So that's 47% more dps when accounting for attack time. But it shine even more with burst : 84% more. I think, it merits its title. Does it make it viable ? That I don't know... I'll try myself.

edit : corrected a dumb math error

# Build ideas

>

You aim to your Tornado or Wall of force, and let the chain aim for you.

This build idea goes back to when hydrosphere had not limit to the number of time it could be hit per second.

You can benefit from Gloomfang, maybe with a Doomfletch if you can get physical damage source (like Poacher's Mark with Deadeye's Focal Point)

>2. Tornado Build

I've already made a Tornado build in a phrecia event, but with Vaal Fireball. The idea is to snapshot the most damage (and 20 proj) in a Tornado. With this buff, Warden seems good : Sap of the Seasons (or any source of penetration) and Warden's double Scorch have a nice interaction thanks to the reflect behaviour of Tornado. Also Warden have the Unbound Avatar skill, which is 100% more elemental damage, we could snapshot.

The designated skill is Vaal Burning Arrow. With its 3 charges, we need only 7 proj per attack and we have already 5 with barrage support.

Chin Sol could be a decent bow to use.

>3. Explosive arrow

Explosive arrow build often use Ballista to ramp up more explosive arrow on the enemy. Now barrage support seems way more competitive. Lvl 20 explosive arrow with barrage support is almost 2400 average damage. If you scale attack speed/duration to go to the 23 arrows stuck: it is 20k base damage explosion, 14k for ailments which could be a good ignite potential.
Maybe it can be paired with Alchemist's Mark if you scale faster damaging ailments. Warden with Wildfire Phloem could even refresh the ignite.

>4. Galvanic Arrow Nova

The combo Galvanic Arrow, Arrow Nova support and Barrage support seems a bit fun. I'm not sure how good it could be. I'm thinking of a Warden with Shock because of the number of hits it could get on big, slow moving bosses.

>5. Elemental Hit of the Spectrum

You get your elemental ailment a bit more rapidly with barrage. The AoE of Elemental Hit of the Spectrum can counter (a bit) the lack of clear of barrage support.

Cannot use Currency Exchange because slots are taken by RotA Character

Hi GGG,

Can you please allow our characters to be migrated so we can use currency exchange, very hard to buy chaos orbs without the currency exchange

Thanks

So Cord belts are gone, new enchantments on bestiary make anoints now not a "must" anymore, no way to juice your blight in maps.

I am trying to understand what exactly they want blight to be now.

you cannot juice blight anymore like you used to, the unique blight bosses drop nothing, invigo scarab makes blight impossibly hard and you get nothing from it.

blight is one of the most neglected farms now. the only way to do blight now is in blight ravaged maps, where your atlas wont work on.

atleast in expedition you can juice the monsters, the only way to juice blight is with scarabs like titanic scarab and titanic scarab of legends. if you do that you need a build that has 1million ehp and 500 million damage.

lol??

Ritual needs a buff before league asap after HUGE nerfs

So this new league Massively needs ritual, and ggg hasn’t given any compensation buffs to the mechanic. I don’t consider the “locusts will point towards the next ritual” a buff to the mechanic itself that’s just QoL.

To recap what ritual is losing
1. Synthesis items
2. Delve fossils
3. Abyss eyes
4. Catalysts
5. Omen of blanching
6.legion splinters
7. Mirage rituals because mirage isn’t going core.

It’s really surprising how ggg is just absolutely gutting ritual and it’s getting 0 compensation buffs. I hope they make a buff before league starts, I love ritual but these nerfs are just so substantial with 0 compensation buffs.

Stop panicking, Ritual most certainly isn't dead or entirely gutted!

Heya! Ritual Girl here, the name's Neeko!

Ritual is my all-time favourite mechanic in the game and I have been running it every league and every event ever since I've started playing.

And every league I record and break down my profits in spreadsheets and publish the findings of one of these runs on reddit to see how ritual is doing.

Here are the posts from the past two leagues: 3.28 \- 3.27

Now, I know that a lot of people are panicking because more and more loot is getting taken out of the ritual loot pool. I myself don't really like those changes because I love ritual for the loot variety, so I get why people might be upset. But I don't really understand why a lot of people assume that ritual will be a poor person's mechanic now. I've already seen quite a few posts of people freaking out and being angry at GGG because they think Ritual has been gutted.

In my experience, looking back at all my recorded data, the main profits from ritual will always come from raw currency, div cards, fractures, and omens/invitations. The synth items were always a nice addition and had huge jackpot potential, but they've never made up the biggest part of the profits. If you take them out you might be missing around 10% of the overall profits, which I think is the absolute worst case. And even that would still leave Ritual as a very consistent and profitable mechanic.

Also, 98% of synth items are sub 1c junk. So them being taken out will most likely fill the remaining generated items per window with other things, lots of it potentially worth a lot more than the average synth item. At least I would assume so, as that also seemed to be the case after the removal of fossils and resonators. After that I found noticeably more currency and div cards in Ritual.

Same goes for the abyss jewels. Having a supply of them for rolling and finding the occasional good fracture was nice. But losing them really isn't that big of a deal on paper and you might find more other good stuff now.

Also, with +1 Charge being a corruption implicit on rings now, and there being much stronger corruption implicits in general, you might find a good corruption here and there now, especially earlier in the league. So that might be a nice little addition to the loot pool as random corrupted items you found in ritual were always really bad before.

Obviously neither I nor anybody else will know for sure how things will turn out until we actually get to play the new league. But with all my past experience I am quite sure that the loot changes are not really that big of a deal (in terms of profit) even though they kinda suck in my opinion.

The bigger problem in my eyes are the potential issues with scarab supply which could make ritual really expensive to run. But that's beside the point of this post and we'll have to see how everything turns out.

TL;DR

I think some of the changes made to a lot of mechanics and ritual specifically over the past leagues are not really enjoyable for me and go the wrong direction. But personally I still don't think the removal of synth items, abyss jewels, and catalysts from the Ritual loot pool will impact the profits too much. It might, but chances are low in my opinion. Please don't freak out or ask for buffs to Ritual before we have even had the chance to play!

Stay sane Exiles :3
