Earthshatter isn't dead!

Hi boys,

When the patch notes for Mirage dropped it had these changes,

* Earthshatter: Now has an Effectiveness of Added Damage of 158%-329% at gem levels 1-20 (previously 171%-393%).
* Autoexertion now has a Mana Reservation of 20% (previously 15%).
* Overexertion now grants Supported Attacks deal 7-10% more Damage for each Warcry Exerting them (previously 12-18%), and Supported Attacks deal 10-14% more Damage if Exerted (previously 10% at all gem levels). No longer displays as supporting Triggered Attack skills which cannot be Exerted, such as Shockwave Support.

I was a bit worried that my favourite skill would feel rubbish to play. So I started bleed slams, but I didn't enjoy it all that much and around Week 4 I rerolled to Earthshatter again, because I missed my warcrying hooligan.

So all that said, I think I’ve finally reached the final form of my Earthshatter Slayer, and I think it's the best Earthshatter build I've made as a Duelist.

POB: [https://pobb.in/6xGJnL4wIzYL](https://pobb.in/6xGJnL4wIzYL)

I know a lot of people wrote Earthshatter off after the nerfs, but honestly, I think the skill is still incredibly strong - I just think people are still building it with old assumptions.

After a ton of testing and iterations, the biggest shift for me was stopping chasing “maximum PoB DPS” and instead building around:

* uptime
* automation
* survivability
* smoothness
* and how the build actually feels in real gameplay

I don’t think my build is mechanically revolutionary or anything, but I do think the priorities are different to how most people still approach slams.

A few things I think are massively underrated with Earthshatter now:

* Slayer solves the real problem with slams, which is maintaining uptime and not falling over
* Consistent autoexert uptime matters more than giant one-hit screenshots
* Once your hit size gets high enough, Impale completely changes how the build feels
* Faster, more immediate damage feels WAY better than delayed “eventually huge” damage
* Smoothness and rhythm end up mattering more than another 5% PoB DPS

I also think a lot of people over-invest into either:

* pure tank or
* pure PoB damage

…instead of balancing around actual gameplay flow.

As a final upgrade I sacrificed some survivability to get 100% chance to Impale and it was absolutely worth it, things die really fast now. The build still has top-end EHP for Slayer, but now the damage feels instant instead of “ramping.”

Currently sitting at:

* Highest DPS Earthshatter Slayer on [poe.ninja](https://poe.ninja/poe1/builds/mirage/character/imanon-6723/KapteinSlayer?i=0&search=class%3DSlayer%26name%3Dkaptein)
* 5th highest EHP
* Full autoexert setup
* T17/Uber viable
* Minimal button bloat
* Battlemage's Cry to cast Vulnerability, and get Molten Shell on first hit - this is actually a really fun / useful interaction.

The funny thing is the build is actually stronger than the PoB suggests too, because Impale damage isn’t properly represented - with all the setup done properly (and conservatively) I think the build does around 55million DPS when 3 spikes overlap.

Honestly feels like one of those builds where there’s nothing meaningful left to solve anymore. Everything from here is basically vanity upgrades and hoping for a Mirror to go with my two locks I got this league.

Earthshatter definitely isn’t dead. I honestly think people just kept trying to build post-nerf Earthshatter like old-school slam builds instead of leaning fully into automation, uptime and practical gameplay feel.

3.28 SC Mirage Double Build Giveaway

Hello Exiles! It’s been quite the league for me. Hit the 5k hour milestone and dropped my first mirror! I’ve had a blast playing a variety of builds, and I usually end my leagues by selling all my gear and gambling, but this time around I wanna give away my two builds that I’ve put the most amount of time and effort into this league.

https://pobb.in/c0v7kIC12zK3

This first build is my Exsanguinate Wardbreak Elementalist. Apologies for the PoB not being configured, I’m at work rn and asked if one of my friends could quickly import and send me my PoB links for this. This build is my crown jewel of the league, that I put the most amount of time and effort into. It started out as a poison DD wardbreak build, and I slowly grinded up to acquiring everything I needed to swap to exsanguinate. I grinded out for the Nine Lives forbidden flesh when they were still going for 1,200 divs. This build has around 2 mirrors of total investment. It can do pretty much anything. AFK Uber Uber Elder, run super juiced breach, delve, sanctum, whatever you wanna run, it can do it. Full DPS including wardshatter is around 200mil. It’s not as tanky as other wardbreak builds since this doesn’t use a Vorana timeless jewel, but is still able to tank almost anything you throw at it.

My second build in this giveaway is my Int/Accuracy stacker Juggernaut, a project I wanted to put together since it was a build I wanted to play last league, but never got around to making. Again, sorry for PoB not being configured, but I’m at work and just had my friend quickly send the links to my builds for me. Total investment has been around 1.5-2 mirrors so far. There’s definitely room for upgrades, specifically getting a reflected helical ring, which was my next plan, but I’ve just lost interest and the desire to play the league now that I have this build up and running. Don’t have any more goals to pursue, so my drive is dead lol. Could also make some better boots, but I only needed the int, tailwind, and onslaught on them, so those were just something I slapped together. Helmet could be more min-maxed, but I settled for t2 int after dropping over 100div on beast locks and not seeing t1 int. Could also get more min-maxy foulborn Hand of Thought and Motion claws, but I was just volatile vaal’ing them for fun to see if I could hit good rolls, and those two claws are what I settled on after doing around 45 attempts. This build was very fun to play, very tanky and crazy good clear for mapping, and has enough single target to do Ubers very easily. I did some testing with Uber Exarch and Uber Uber Elder. Exarch I could almost 1-phase, and Uber Uber Elder I could just stand still and spam LS to win, didn’t need to move at all thanks to leech. Just make sure you remove GMP when doing Ubers for better single-target damage, and stand a little bit away in order to get the double-hit with greater ancestral call.

To enter, just write in the replies which build you’d like to win and why you want it, and the two comments with the highest likes for my wardbreak and int/acc stacker respectively will be the winners! I’ll be selecting the winners in 8 hours (7PM EST)
