⛈ On September 11, 2024, Hurricane Francine made landfall in Louisiana, USA, as a Category 2 storm. With winds reaching up to 155 km/h (96 mph), the hurricane has affected large areas of the southern region, including New Orleans. In addition to strong winds, the storm poses a significant risk of heavy rains, floods, and tornadoes.

⚠️ The greatest concern is the storm surge, which could raise sea levels by up to 3 meters (10 feet) above normal, potentially flooding coastal areas of Louisiana and even Texas. Local authorities are warning residents about possible evacuations.

🇺🇸|🔥 Three rapidly growing wildfires in Southern California have destroyed more than 100,000 acres of land in less than a week and continue to threaten homes in several communities. The state has mobilized all available resources to support firefighters on the front lines of the battle against the raging flames.

⚠️ As of Thursday morning, September 12, the Line Fire — a major wildfire that has scorched over 34,000 acres (53 square miles) — continues to spread across steep terrain, making access difficult, particularly near the Big Bear area. Strong winds and dry weather have fueled the fire's growth, though firefighters are hopeful that cooler weather forecasted for later in the week will aid in containment efforts.

🆘 Approximately 13,300 properties, including residential and commercial buildings, are under threat in areas where evacuations are currently in effect. As of Wednesday, September 11, the Line Fire was 14% contained.
