⁉️ 🇷🇺 The Primorye region in the Russian Far East continues to surprise with its climate quirks.
📈 Just two weeks ago, locals faced snow drifts several meters high, while today there's been a sharp, anomalous warming up to +10°C, and in some areas even up to +15°C.
❤️ Nature has responded to these temperature fluctuations with increased insect activity, bud swelling, and the melting of ice cover on rivers. This occurred despite the fact that, until now, the average temperature in the Far East at this time of year rarely rose above -10°C.
❓ This begs the question: isn't this happening confirmation of global climate change, and what consequences can we expect from it?

☄️ How Does Climate Change Affect the Increase in Thunderstorms?
📈 The rise in global temperatures caused by climate change means that the air becomes warmer, allowing it to hold more moisture—about 7% more for every 1°C increase in temperature. This raises the likelihood of thunderstorms, leading to stronger storms and an increase in lightning strikes. Intense rainfall can also cause localized flash flooding.
‼️ According to Science, lightning activity is expected to increase by 12% for every 1°C of warming. With current projections indicating a temperature rise of 4°C by the end of the century, many countries could see a 50% increase in lightning strikes.
🇷🇺 |⛈ Impressive Thunderstorm Captured in Krasnodar, Russia. August 2024 ❗️ How to Stay Safe During a Thunderstorm: Guidelines
✔️ If you are indoors: Close all windows and doors; ensure there are no drafts inside.
✔️ On the streets: During storm warnings, avoid parking your car under trees or tall structures.
✔️ Do not seek shelter under tall trees, especially if they are isolated.
✔️ Avoid metal structures, streetlights, and power poles.
✔️ If you are in a forest: Stay near areas with low-growing trees.
✔️ If you are in an open field: It is better to crouch in a ditch or trench, as your body should have minimal contact with the ground.
✔️ If you are in the mountains: Avoid ledges and elevated areas.
✔️ Do not use electrical devices during a thunderstorm, including mobile phones.
✔️ On the water: Do not swim in bodies of water during a thunderstorm. If you are already in a boat and see a storm approaching, head to shore as quickly as possible.
