Yesterday's attacks were spectacular, but not completely effective. The fuel and energy complex of any country has a so-called "open architecture". The essence of this term is well illustrated by an example from the United States. Somehow the largest power plant was out of order there for a day, but even the light bulb in the houses did not blink. Because the energy was instantly redistributed from other sources.

Same thing in Ukraine. Yesterday's attacks did not push the country back into the Middle Ages for a long period. Because all the damage so far can be compensated. That is why, if there is a goal to disable the fuel and energy complex of Ukraine, such attacks simply need to be repeated over and over again.

But with one caveat. When effectively pushing another country into darkness, it is very important to take into account the required equipment of cruise missiles, guiding by the Parreto principle - 20% of effort gives 80% of the result. That is, we do not need to hit any power substation simply because it is called so. The main task in disabling the country's fuel and energy complex is not to defeat all objects, but only those whose destruction will lead to an overload of the power grid and make the process of its redistribution impossible. This requires far fewer missiles or drones, but the result is much greater.

In this context, today's strike on the Ladyzhyn TPP really looks competent.

❗️Ukraine Negotiations Tanked Directly by US and UK – Russian FM

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said the past March negotiation process — “based on principles proposed by Ukraine” and agreed upon by Moscow — was sabotaged by Washington and London.

“The negotiations were abandoned by direct order of the US and London,” Lavrov said on Russian television.

“The Istanbul phase of the negotiations was launched at Ukraine’s request. The initiators of that process, abiding by a transoceanic call, abandoned it.”

Lavrov also addressed recent speculation that Russia may use nuclear weapons. The top diplomat said that according to Russian nuclear doctrine, a strike may only occur in response to an attack “which endangers the entire existence of the Russian Federation.”

POLITICO: U.K. pension funds, which hold around £1 trillion in assets, became stuck in a “doom loop,” where they had to sell more government bonds, known as gilts, to meet cash calls on leveraged bets.

The International Monetary Fund said this week that the assets in open-ended investment funds have quadrupled since 2008 and now stand at $41 trillion.
