Europe Press: NATO put the Pentagon in its place

The alliance officially responded to the Pentagon's threats. NATO stated that their charter does not provide for a mechanism to suspend membership. Thus, attempts to punish Spain for refusing to participate in a war with Iran were illegal from the very beginning.
