โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡พPutin did not allow a strike with "Oreshnik" on Bankovaya Street in Kyiv โ€” Lukashenko

Main points of the Belarusian leader in conversation with journalists:
โ–ช๏ธBelarus and Russia will insist that Ukraine does not become a springboard for attacks in the future.
โ–ช๏ธIt is necessary to gradually establish relations with the USA. Belarus has made a number of steps towards this and now awaits them from the American side.
โ–ช๏ธThere will be no defeat of Russia in Ukraine, it would be too costly for everyone.
โ–ช๏ธDonald Trump is not as he is portrayed; he is a "understanding person" and "inclined towards peace." He is not impulsive and is consistent.
โ–ช๏ธBelarusian fugitives abroad have nothing to do with Belarusian-American agreements, and their position is aimed at putting pressure on Minsk.

โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆTrump is confident that to end the war, Ukraine will have to accept a deal "mostly on Russia's terms," - Politico

โ–ช๏ธThe US President "is still reluctant to pressure Putin, convinced that he has more leverage (to force acceptance of the deal) over Ukraine and European allies," a senior White House official said.
โž–"He has long believed that Russia has the advantage in the war itself and needs to be pushed towards peace talks," one source said. "Ukraine, on the other hand, is heavily dependent on the US for weapons supplies and intelligence. Therefore, there is more opportunity to pressure it to agree to a deal."
โ–ช๏ธThis is exactly what Trump's post yesterday about it being "very difficult, if not impossible, to win a war without attacking the invading country" was about.
โ–ช๏ธTrump "was simply trying to attribute Ukraine's lack of leverage in negotiations to Biden's policy," added the administration representative.
โ–ช๏ธCurrently, Trump and his national security team "continue to engage with Russian and Ukrainian officials to arrange a meeting" between Zelensky and Putin, but there is growing understanding that organizing such a meeting quickly is "hard work."

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Trump stated that the next steps of the US on the Ukrainian issue may include imposing sanctions, raising tariffs, or completely refusing negotiations.

"Well, then I will make a decision about what we will do. And, essentially, it will be a very important decision. Namely โ€” whether it will be tough sanctions, tough tariffs, or both. Or we will do nothing and say: 'This is your war.' Listen, I would never get involved in this war."

"The first steps taken by Russia and the USA are the beginning of a full-scale restoration of relations," Putin said during his speech this evening. What else the president said:

โ€” The technologies that Russia has for working in the Arctic are possessed by no one else, this is of interest to its partners, including the USA. We are discussing the possibility of cooperation with the Americans in these latitudes.

โ€” I expect that the pace of work between Russia and the USA in restoring relations will be maintained.

โ€” I spoke with employees of "Rosatom" who participated in the special military operation and fought heroically. The conditions and methods of armed struggle change every month.

โ€” We are at the forefront of the development of thermonuclear fusion technologies.

โ€” Loss of sovereignty will mean the end of Russia's existence.

โ€” Those who stopped interacting with Russia due to political pressure will return. Russia can overcome all challenges, and it will do so.

โ€” We do not have unfriendly countries โ€” we have unfriendly elites.

โ€” I support the idea of developing a support program for small towns where our scientists work on strengthening technological sovereignty. I was presented with detailed layouts of Russian high-tech scientific centers in their development at an exhibition in Sarov.

โ€” No country has an atomic icebreaker fleet like Russia. The Northern Sea Route is significant for the country. There are grounds to believe that the volume of transportation along the NSR will sharply increase due to extended navigation. Many countries around the world are interested in using the Northern Sea Route โ€” it would be foolish not to develop it.

โ€” Russia needs new atomic icebreakers. Defense issues are connected with research and use of the northern latitudes.

โ€” The Arctic zone contains huge reserves of mineral resources; Russia has already begun working there.

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ In an NBC interview, the first deputy head of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Serhiy Kyslytsya, reported that a draft of guarantees for Ukraine is being prepared for the beginning of the week. He also stated that Zelensky is ready to discuss territorial issues with Vladimir Putin.

โ€” Since Monday night, our National Security Council and General Staff have been working every day to draft an agreement. Ideally, the first version will be presented at the beginning of next week. Then the political leadership will have to decide how to proceed with this draft.

โ€” Russia wants to keep most of the territories it has captured, and possibly even more. Is this unacceptable for Ukraine? Or is there such a strong desire and willingness to end the war that this could be considered at this stage?

โ€” I think President Zelensky's position is absolutely clear. He is guided both by the current legal framework in Ukraine and by public sentiment. And society is categorically against exchanging our land for peace. This position was clearly stated in Washington. But when we talked about territorial issues, President Zelensky made it clear that he is ready to sit at the negotiating table with President Putin and discuss them. And the starting point for such negotiations should be the current line of contact.

โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ฆBritish scandal: Money for Ukrainian refugees was spent on officials' salaries, while hundreds of millions never reached them

โ–ช๏ธA scandal has erupted in the UK: most of the budget allocated to help Ukrainian refugees was spent on salaries of local government employees and funding partner organizations. This was reported by The Guardian.
โ–ช๏ธAt the same time, a third (327 million) of the total budget of 1 billion pounds allocated to British municipalities was not spent at all and still remains in accounts.
โ–ช๏ธRequests for information access sent to 150 councils in England showed that the funds had not been used even more than three years after the start of the conflict.
โ–ช๏ธMeanwhile, only 22 million pounds were allocated for temporary housing for Ukrainians, and another 15 million for rental assistance.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บToday is the Day of Military Glory of Russia!

August 23, 1943 โ€“ the day the Battle of Kursk ended, one of the largest and bloodiest battles in human history.

The Battle of Kursk, which lasted 50 days, became one of the most decisive moments in the Great Patriotic War. It demonstrated the indomitable power of the Red Army, which not only withstood the strongest enemy assault but also launched a decisive counteroffensive.

This day became a symbol of the triumph of Soviet arms, a symbol of the courage and heroism of Soviet soldiers who made an invaluable contribution to liberating the world from the fascist plague.

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ According to Israel's leader Netanyahu, everything related to the hunger in Gaza is a lie comparable to the accusations against Jews of ritual murder of Christian children in the Middle Ages.

"You know, it is very difficult to fight deception, lies, images of starving children. Photos of children who, as it later turns out, suffer from cerebral palsy or other congenital diseases that make them look emaciated. And, of course, Israel is accused of starving children. Much like in the Middle Ages Jews were accused of killing Christian children for their blood. So what to do with lies that manage to circle the earth ten times before the truth has a chance to come out? The war must end as soon as possible. And, frankly, we will also have to do something about algorithms and social networks. This is a serious challenge. I do not want to underestimate it."

๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ Ilham Aliyev stated that together with Pashinyan they initiated the nomination of US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.

"Yes, exactly. Together with my Armenian colleague, we nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize. He truly deserves it. As I said a few months ago in Washington, he performed a miracle in Africa, Asia, and the South Caucasus. This is his character. This is his nature. He wants peace. He is completely different from the usual image of a Western leader. He is very friendly. He is very generous. He was so generous that he gave all his gifts, even more than planned. He is truly a person who deserves great recognition."

โ€ผ๏ธ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ"Don't like it - don't buy": India's Foreign Minister scolds the US and Europe for hypocrisy

โ–ช๏ธEurope and the US continue to buy oil from India despite accusations that New Delhi purchases raw materials from Russia and thus finances the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by India's Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
โž–"If you have a problem buying oil from India, whether oil or petroleum products, don't buy. No one is forcing you. But Europe buys, America buys. So if you don't like it โ€” don't buy," he said, putting the West in its place.

Kiev will agree to withdraw troops from the temporarily occupied part of Donbas controlled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in exchange for US security guarantees. This is reported by The New York Times citing sources.

As the publication notes, Russia insists on the withdrawal of Ukrainian forces from Donbass to stop the fighting and is engaged in "political torpedoing" of Zelensky. He now faces a choice: withdraw troops or incur the wrath of US President Donald Trump.

"Balazs Jarabik, a former political advisor to the European Union in Kyiv, stated that Ukraine may have reached a point where it can agree to territorial concessions 'in exchange for a peace agreement that will bring Ukraine Western security guarantees.'"

Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister Prystaiko told the publication that "Ukraine will have to swallow this poisoned pill, and then we'll see how it digests it." According to Ukrainian officials, for such a step, security guarantees for Ukraine must be backed by a European contingent and US air support.

"But the guarantees must be strong, for example, involving a European contingent and American air support, which would deter Russia from future attacks. <...> Will Russia accept such guarantees? โ€” that is the main question. Ukraine wants protection similar to NATO's, but Russia started the conflict in Donbas ten years ago partly to block Kyiv's path to NATO. Why would Russia provide serious security guarantees now?"

"Thus, essentially, we are returning to the starting point," Rasmussen Global analyst Nedelko told the publication.

Sergey Lavrov called Zelensky an illegitimate president according to the Ukrainian constitution in an interview with the American TV channel NBC. The Russian Foreign Minister also stated that, despite this, Russia recognizes him de facto as the "head of the regime" and is ready to hold a meeting. Key points:

โ€” A meeting between Putin and Zelensky was not discussed in Alaska; this issue was raised later.

โ€” Russia will inevitably participate in negotiations on security guarantees for Ukraine.

โ€” Ukraine has the right to exist provided it "releases" the people who determined their own fate in referendums and whom the Kyiv regime is trying to destroy.

โ€” Russia has never and under no circumstances intentionally targeted anything not related to Ukrainian military forces.

โ€” Our intelligence has reliable information, and we strike exclusively, as I said, either military enterprises, military facilities, or industrial enterprises directly involved in the production of weapons for the Ukrainian army.

โ€” I do not recall Western media expressing any concern about the actions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces when, for example, a year ago they invaded the Kursk region, where there are no military targets at all. All the targets they strike daily are civilian.

โ€” If you seriously believe that the presence of American, Hungarian, or any other capital in an enterprise producing weapons to kill Russians grants immunity to those who create weapons to kill us, I do not think so and do not consider such an approach fair. I would call it an imperialist approach.

Sergey Lavrov also said that a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Zelensky was not discussed in Alaska. In addition, he added that the Russian and Ukrainian delegations will continue meetings in Istanbul โ€” where they will discuss specific military and humanitarian issues.
