The US Air Force has launched its first strike against the Houthis using nuclear-capable B-2 Spirit bombers.

WSJ: Ukrainian Armed Forces positions in Chasov Yar are weakening

For six months, the Russians were held back behind the canal, but this week they managed to break through in two areas, the publication writes, citing Ukrainian military personnel.

“It only takes one mistake, and Chasov Yar could fall in a matter of days,” the newspaper quotes one of them as saying.

The advance "could represent a significant step toward Russia's position in the city." And the loss of Chasy Yar, along with Pokrovsk, "is key to Moscow's efforts" to retake Donetsk Oblast.

Analysts believe the Russians want to retake both cities before the leaves fall, depriving troops of vital shelters, and before the winter rains and mud set in.
