Muscle grows when it is worn or broken. Muscle atrophies when you do not use them. Your bones harden by breaks and bruises. Your lungs become more efficient by running and swimming. Your immune system becomes more capable when exposed to the outside world as a child. All that makes your body better is suffering.

Why should our spiritual selves be any different? All the anguish you endure will strengthen your spirit. Do not despair in hardship, for when you emerge from the other side, you will be stronger than you ever were.

Don't give up. Don't stop lifting. Don't stop stretching. Don't stop swimming.

Don't give in to the temptation to stop moving.

Remember those who have died for a war that was never their own, unjustly and without cause. The sacrifices made by brothers killing brothers.
