Prediction market Polymarket just suffered a breach on the Polygon network. An attacker managed to compromise an admin wallet and drain roughly $660,000.

The hacker is already moving fast—splitting the stolen crypto across 15 different wallets to cover their tracks.

The good news: Polymarket confirmed the breach only affected a rewards payout system. All user funds and market bets are 100% safe, and the team is currently locking down their backend.

Crypto.com Admits to breach

A new investigation just forced Crypto.com to admit they suffered a major, previously undisclosed security breach.

The Attack: A teenage hacker named Noah Urban—known as "King Bob" and "Sosa" in the Com —managed to completely bypass the exchange's security. He didn't use complex malware; he just social-engineered Crypto.com employees into handing over their internal login credentials.

The Damage: The exchange is doing damage control today. They confirmed the breach and admitted that user data was exposed, but they firmly maintain that no customer funds were ever touched or at risk.

The Aftermath: The FBI eventually tracked Urban down. He was recently slapped with a 10-year federal prison sentence, and authorities seized over $4 million of his illicit crypto assets.

StablR Exploited for $2.8M: Stablecoins Depeg

European stablecoin issuer StablR suffered a targeted exploit that drained approximately $2.8 million from their system, causing both their Euro (EURR) and US Dollar (USDR) stablecoins to actively depeg from their fiat values.

According to blockchain security firm Blockaid, the root cause appears to be a compromised private key. The threat Actor successfully breached the digital wallet of a keyholder inside StablR's core minting multisig account, granting them unauthorized access to manipulate the platform's operations.

The breach immediately rattled market confidence. With the multisig compromised, both the Euro and USD-backed stablecoins lost their 1:1 parity on secondary trading markets as users rushed to exit their positions.
