Ambassador Rosenblum Welcomes First Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Students for 2021-2022 Academic Year
Tashkent, Uzbekistan, August 4, 2021 β United States Ambassador to Uzbekistan Daniel Rosenblum saw off the first Uzbekistan student exchange cohort of the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) Program since 2006. These students will study at an American high school and live with an American host family for the 2021-2022 academic year.
The Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) program was created and launched in 1993-1994 by former Senator Bill Bradley in the hope of ensuring long-lasting peace and mutual understanding between the U.S. and the countries of Eurasia. The program enables young people to learn about the U.S. and Americans firsthand, while teaching Americans about the culture and countries of Eurasia. To date more than 29,000 students from 22 countries proudly call themselves FLEX alumni.
