7/10 for Catch me if you can (2002)

Long (2 hrs) #crime #drama, #true_story_line with #cool_actors. Ever #changing_events and ambience along with unexpected #happy_end. Covers (actual, btw) #problems of #family and #trust. Almost #lite, but I wouldn't call it the background one

#cinema

Post for everyone asking me why I hate Telegram. If you haven't noticed yet, some time ago I made @Lifebox_Robot (still in beta version) that maintains a social credits system (it’s a bit broken now) and asks people to "rate today," then gathers statistics. To do so, every day at 21:00, the bot creates a poll for the day and populates it in all the groups it has access to. Telegram is cool; we can have such functionality here, but where else would I write the code like the one below? Nowhere.

Have you ever noticed disappearing avatars on reactions? Slow internet, maybe? No, messed up reaction representation in the API. Also, albums don't exist here β€” they are just grouped lists of messages that are impossible to handle effectively. Or take message editing that asks the bot to re-send a keyboard. Why? Because it disappears. How would you react if I told you that I can send messages to public groups without joining them? And I can, thanks to crutches in Replies bot implementation. This list is far from finite.

The owner of Telegram breaks his own rules, there’s absolutely no technical support, moderation algorithms are crap, and every single client is working as a piece of shit. Β«Noooooo consistency is overrated!!Β» β€” go check your lost messages during sync and notifications for already read messages, dummies. Why do we still use it? I don't know.

Fuck you, Pavel.

Nice question lol
Came back to Chrome after a ~year with Firefox

So far, cons:
β€’ Small header bar β†’ small buttons
β€’ In Firefox you can create tabs by middle-clicking title bar, here you can't
β€’ No one-letter hotkeys (RMC + Q for DevTools in Firefox)
β€’ DevTools are not that convenient (mostly using Console and Network)
β€’ No JSON preview (rendered as a plain text)
β€’ No dark mode 🀬 β€” only "sync with OS" option that does not work on Ubuntu 22 I'm using rn. At least I managed to make DevTools dark via it's own settings
β€’ Icons are clipped and sometimes are loosing background (e.g. GitHub icons in Firefox always have white background)
β€’ Tabs opened via "Open in new tab" don't open automatically

Some pros for decency:
β€’ All the web "standards" are supported (how unexpected πŸ€ͺ)
β€’ Groups of tabs
β€’ Profiles (Firefox has too, but it's much more obvious and better here)
β€’ DevTools Inspect tool does not move focus on the main window on click

Otherwise experience is pretty much the same (websites are websites lol)

P.S. Chrome seems to support xdg portals now (108.0.5359.124) *happy penguin sounds*

Created exam tasks for MongoDB, Neo4J and Redis classes with ChatGPT in 15 minutes without any skills 🍿

A week ago I was successfully tested a lot of homeworks using generated scripts β€” had to fix only a few lines per script

Rise of machines incredible tool!

Remember failed ThinkPad X1 Fold, a try to revive dual-screens with Plus Gen 3 and overpriced Zenbook 17 Fold? Meet Yoga Book 19i β€” next generation dual-screen laptop from CES-2023 starting at 2100$. So far looks like a balance between Fold and DUO Zenbooks β€” theoretically can run Linux (as DUO) but has 2x13.3" total display area remaining pretty flexible (as Fold) with a key difference in price.

Waiting for June to look at final prices and will-it-linux reviews, otherwise it looks like my next laptop πŸ€ͺ

P.S. Full specs and other CES23 stuff from Lenovo

Absolutely no one:
Me at 1:29 AM: country ranking. country. ranking.

P.S. Booted πŸ’»Fedora after a long time with Ubuntu and even outdated 37th feels as a paradise now. You just CAN do things here - can't say so about any other Linux distro

That moment when you stop crying about how overloaded and fat the web is and just enjoy the ability to scrape such UI in one line of code

HP monitor's ingenious design requires 45° rotation for VESA mount. Just got a compatible stand - but now will have to look for a swivel adapter or change the monitor/stand. Standards, they say 🀑

UPD: Fixed by HP Omen Mount Adapter made by someone on 3D printer
