Just bought this cutie called MX Ergo. I will say nothing about switching to a trackball for now, some of my first impressions: 🟢 Pros · New experience is always a pro · No need to move a hand (yay, spin the ball) · Natural hand position (upd: looks like…
⭐️ UPD:
· You can get used to the trackball in a few days
· It will take a while to play dynamic games at least as well as with a regular mouse
· Despite the fact it's called «Ergo», MX Master 3 is more ergonomic
· Design (buttons arrangement) is not good enough + form is a bit inconvenient as for me

❤️ So MX Master 3/3S is still the most productive mouse ever. It's the thing I can definitely recommend to anyone (MB except of pro gamers)

P.S. Why there are paid reactions but no «notify on UPD» feature…
P.P.S. Synced posts in the chat lose replies, wtf
MX Master 3S is using Logi Bolt instead of Logitech Unifying technology that breaks its support by the logiops driver.

Cool pro in comparison to MX Master 3 — silent LMC & RMC. Really soft clicks that feel on the level. And the no-go — buttons on Linux can be remapped only using a Bluetooth connection which increases response delay

Weird, there is an official Linux support 🤔

UPD: Support shipped, works well now!

8/10 I give Uncharted (2022), one more for fitting a cute cat into the story 🐈

Nice #lite movie for a #background, pretty #simple storyline and #cool_actors, #exploration, #puzzle

First day at university with less than B2 language be like
— Idk what's it, but sounds like counterexample
— Where the duck is it? How do I get there?
— Damn, how to switch the layout layers

Overall, it's nice: there is a navigator between rooms (web app), fair enough system of final evaluation/grades and all that stuff, flexible schedule, almost no useless courses. At least 6/11 teachers (9/15 classes) are good. Obviously, it's still worse than uni non-existence but better than I thought 🤔👏

Wow! Just saw an ad from ASUS CZ with… ZenBook Fold, that one from the latest CES.

«Unveil the unbelievable. The first 17" foldable OLED laptop in the world»

I'm so pleased they develop it and I hope it won't die as idea – I'm now trying to achieve the same setup with my new tablet

UPD: 3650€ in local stores

My Windows 11 experience after 2 days of usage.
-inf (yep, minus infinity) points for development — you literally can't develop there, so the only¹ way is to fall back to Fedora 35 from 37 just to be able to work.

No software and support of any non-basic or non-popular hardware on Linux along with small community and development teams. No tools for development, the worst windows management (so ironically, isn't it) and twitchy animations on Windows. Apple hardware and lots of money for MacOS with no customization. Ducking tech, why is it so? 💀

¹Or I can switch to Xorg with some other problems 😑

7/10 for Catch me if you can (2002)

Long (2 hrs) #crime #drama, #true_story_line with #cool_actors. Ever #changing_events and ambience along with unexpected #happy_end. Covers (actual, btw) #problems of #family and #trust. Almost #lite, but I wouldn't call it the background one

Post for everyone asking me why I hate Telegram. If you haven't noticed yet, some time ago I made @Lifebox_Robot (still in beta version) that maintains a social credits system (it’s a bit broken now) and asks people to "rate today," then gathers statistics. To do so, every day at 21:00, the bot creates a poll for the day and populates it in all the groups it has access to. Telegram is cool; we can have such functionality here, but where else would I write the code like the one below? Nowhere.

Have you ever noticed disappearing avatars on reactions? Slow internet, maybe? No, messed up reaction representation in the API. Also, albums don't exist here — they are just grouped lists of messages that are impossible to handle effectively. Or take message editing that asks the bot to re-send a keyboard. Why? Because it disappears. How would you react if I told you that I can send messages to public groups without joining them? And I can, thanks to crutches in Replies bot implementation. This list is far from finite.

The owner of Telegram breaks his own rules, there’s absolutely no technical support, moderation algorithms are crap, and every single client is working as a piece of shit. «Noooooo consistency is overrated!!» — go check your lost messages during sync and notifications for already read messages, dummies. Why do we still use it? I don't know.

Fuck you, Pavel.
