In 1890, British colonialism forced the Shah of Iran to sign the Tobacco Rรฉgie (Tobacco Concession), giving a British company called "Talbot" full control over buying and selling tobacco in the country.
The people strongly opposed this because it hurt local businesses and gave England too much power. Then, a famous religious leader, Mirza Shirazi, issued a fatwa saying tobacco use was forbidden. Almost everyone, including the Shah's own household, stopped smoking.
The Shah had to cancel the deal.
This is how a religious Leader saved the people from British colonialism.
Today is the anniversary of the historic fatwa banning tobacco, issued in 1891. ๐ซก

That is Shaban Jafari, known as 'Shaban Bimokh' (Shaban the Brainless).
He was a street gang leader and wrestler who played a key role in the 1953 CIA-backed coup against Prime Minister Mossadegh. Acting as one of the Shah's most loyal strongmen, he led armed mobs to crush Mossadegh's supporters and helped pave the way for the Shah's return to power. His closeness to the court and his violent tactics made him a notorious symbol of state-backed thuggery.

Iranian cartoonists have proclaimed the formation of the "Lego Resistance Front" โ an artistic crusade aimed at smashing the empire of lies built by the West.
From mocking Trump for returning from China with nothing but rose seeds, to the "Tomato Prince Pahlavi" and the golden calf worshipped by fake Christians in the US administration, the LRF gleefully skewers the West's cultural, geopolitical, and economic absurdities.
