Exadel is expanding, and so does the list of locations available for our employees to live and work in π Nevertheless, relocation is not only the beginning of a new life but also a whole lot of questions with visas, legalization, etc.
Our Global Mobility Manager Darya Hryshanovich knows how not to go insane from all the paperwork π¬
π Is a law degree necessary to work as a Global Mobility Specialist?
A legal background is not required but preferred. The main thing is that a person claiming this position should understand the main regulatory legal acts, existing legal mechanics, and know where to look for this or that law.
π What qualities are crucial to succeed in this or a similar role?
βοΈ Perseverance.
βοΈ Analytical thinking and staying one step ahead.
βοΈ Critical thinking.
π What are the most common tasks you work on?
The main task is to ensure that all foreign employees have the appropriate documents.
Exadel takes over the entire legalization procedure, so I help our relocated employees with the whole process.
π What do you especially like about your work?
I am constantly attending webinars and events dedicated to legislation regarding foreign citizens. I like listening to different opinions and moving forward. I often come across interesting cases that require more time to solve.
A huge advantage is independent work. At Exadel, no one breathes down my neck or controls every step.
The company gave me a unique opportunity to participate in building processes. We are actively expanding the staff and looking for new candidates. So, if they have new ideas for optimizing and improving processes, we will gladly listen π
Now we are looking for specialists in Poland, Lithuania, Hungary, and Georgia. See our open vacancies π

Exadel Uzbekistan has finally met for team building! More than 50 people came together to enjoy the river, stunning nature, and informal socializing at the Riverside Rest Zone βοΈ
A whole day in nature with friends β what could be better?
Some fancied fishing, some relaxed in hammocks and soaked in the pool, and some played ping-pong and volleyball, sang songs with guitarβ¦ The venue provided all sorts of entertainment, not to mention mouthwatering national dishes π

βTamedβ 5895 meters above sea level, saved the team from the buzzer beater, stacked the padsβ¦ Itβs all about Anton Ogiy (Lead Software Engineer) π§βπ» who told us how he manages to combine passion for mountaineering and hockeyππΌ
Impossible is possible πͺπΌ
Seven years ago, I decided to change my life. I chose to go into mountaineering π. It was a bit like an adventure, because until that time I had the only experience of an independent trip - to Thailand.
Come back alive, not climb the mountain π‘
I love mountains with all my heart. It's great to be alone with my thoughts while hiking, meditate on life or try not to think at all. Mountains are a great way to escape from routine and have a rest. Climbing fortifies willpower. I had 3 attempts to climb Mount Elbrus. In total I had 8 ascents of 5 mountains.
My last peak! β°
The last time I went to Kilimanjaro, I thought that this was my last mountain. But then you go down, return home, sleep off and see what's next on the list π
Not only mountains π
I play as a goalie in the amateur team of the Dinamo-Minsk fan club β ByZone. I started 5 years ago, for two years in a row, I worked with a personal trainer, and then he proposed me as a candidate for a team that was just gathering. In April, we took first place in the amateur hockey league, in the βbeginnerβ category. My team and I have been going to this victory for 5 years.
Pleasure and adrenaline π
Victory and medals are always a nice bonus, but interest, drive and passion are much more important. If the mountains are about challenging yourself, then hockey brings the pleasure of the game itself, the joy of teamwork, maximal concentration and adrenaline. Nothing can be compared to the feeling when you save a game at a decisive moment.
What's next? π¬
I dream of running the New York and Boston marathons, playing in the NHL and, of course, conquering more heights π

In December we opened the doors of the Exadel office in Budapest ππΊ
Only six months have passed, but we already have a close-knit professional team. We caught up with Etelka Katona to learn more about how things are going at Exadel Hungary π
π’ βThe office itself has an awesome location and overlooks the Buda castle as well as the SzΓ©chenyi Chain Bridge. Itβs always fun to have lunch downtown or go on some errands. Everything is within arm's reach; βyou can really sense the cityβs lively vibe.β
βοΈ βThere are not too many of us in the office, though people who do come enjoy splendid tea, coffee, and fruit days on Mondays and Wednesdays.β
π βWe host quarterly team building events. In April, we celebrated Easter together! It was so warm, family-like, and inspiring! We look forward to meeting again for board games and informal socializingβ.
π βWe are growing really fast. Just 2 months ago there were only 4 of us at Exadel Hungary. Now we are 18, and we are waiting for new colleaguesβ.
"But the main thing is that we feel appreciated π€ If something goes wrong, nobody blames you but instead people are anxious to help. Management here is so supportive and motivating! You can have all possible perks at an office, but without understanding and trustworthy people, they are nothing. Now I always wait for Mondays, because I love the place I work at π "

Nowadays the profession βDevOps Engineerβ is becoming popular. What should you know to succeed in this sphere?π‘
We asked Sergey Krivopishin, Lead DevOps Software Engineer π¨βπ», who has conducted 70+ interviews and job assessments π
π What background should a candidate have to get ...
π Associate: Operating systems (Linux, Windows). A candidate should understand how to install them, configure updates, deal with certain commands. Networks and basic services: DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewall. Web servers (installation, configuring), Apache Tomcat for Java applications, Apache HTTP Server, Internet Information Services for Windows Server work and how to configure them. Relational and non-relational databases. CI / CD tools for deploying an application.
π Middle: A candidate should work with operating systems, configure the net, web-servers with databases, deploy applications with frontend and backend using certain CI-tools, and configure them automatically. Knowledge of Ρontainerization and configuration management is necessary. Middle-level DevOps uses a code to configure things. At this level, the work with clouds begins and some UI skills are required.
π Senior: This candidate should work with Infrastructure as Π‘ode (IaC). He automates the deployment of infrastructure using the code, and has clusters for containerization. Senior DevOps Engineers should work with Kubernetes or Docker Swarm. Deeper knowledge of scripting and CI / CD is expected as well.
π What qualities are important to succeed in DevOps?
First of all, it is logical thinking. Accuracy and diligence are important when you move to the Senior position where itβs necessary to write beautiful code and prepare documentation. Creativity and knowledge in related fields will help you to see a new path where others donβt see it.
π How to prepare for an interview properly?
The main advice is to try to relax and be as calm as possible. An interview is not an exam, but a conversation. A candidate should know his/her strong sides. Be sure that you understand concepts rather than learn them by heart. Itβs my strong conviction that all people should have a chance.
