Нет универсального BA-инструмента 🙅‍♀️

На собеседовании мне важно понять, что человек знает и понимает, зачем использовать тот или иной инструмент бизнес-анализа. Даже если какой-то подход является best practice, это не значит, что он применим везде.

Самопрезентация, тайминг, суть 📌

“Расскажите, пожалуйста, о себе за 3 минуты”, — прошу я каждого кандидата. Один из ключевых навыков BA – соблюдать тайминг.

Важно и то, что человек считает важным рассказать про себя. Мой совет: 1 предложение о своем предыдущем опыте, 2 предложения — о текущем проекте и мотивацию, почему вы здесь, зачем вам эта возможность.

Ключевые черты характера BA 🔎

📎 Критическое мышление. Важно собрать все точки зрения, аргументы и грамотно все анализировать.
📎 Гибкость. От BA требуется умение быстро переключать контекст.
📎 Любопытство. Чем лучше мы понимаем решения девелоперов, тем лучше мы будем подходить к постановке проблемы.

Можно ли BA без опыта попасть в Exadel? 🤔

Если у кандидата хватает теоретической базы, попасть в Exadel реально. На собеседовании джуну можно многое простить. Даже если он чего-то не знает, но старается, пытается догадаться, всегда хочется его поддержать.

Идеальный кандидат 🤩

Для меня идеальный кандидат — это человек, который контактактирует с интервьюером. Я стараюсь создать непринужденную обстановку, привести веселый пример.

Важны хард скиллз: знание типов IT-проектов, понимание методологий; темы, связанные с Requirements engineering (elicitation, analysis, specification, verification, validation, и management), технические компетенции и дизайн.

Как следует выспитесь и подумайте, что сказать о себе 💡

Это основная рекомендация по подготовке к интервью. Все остальное — ваш опыт и понимание, зачем использовать те или иные техники.

There are no universal BA tools for any situation 🙅‍♀️

I always need to understand that a candidate knows and understands this or that BA tool. Even if some approach is best practice, it does not mean that it is applicable everywhere. Everything depends on the context.

Self-presentation, timing, the essence 📌

I ask each candidate: “Please tell me about yourself in 3 minutes,” And 3 minutes are essential here. One of BA's key skills is to keep timing. We work with extremely busy stakeholders who may only have 30 minutes a month to communicate with us.

Key BA’s features 🔎

📎 Critical thinking. BA shouldn't take anything for granted.
📎 Flexibility. Be ready to switch the context quickly.
📎 Curiosity. We have to poke our noses in everything, especially in the development process.

Is it possible for a BA without experience to become an Exadeller? 🤔

Why not? If you know the theoretical base quite well, you are welcome. We provide mentors who’ll help you to dive into the processes and get prepared for a production project.

An ideal candidate 🤩

An ideal candidate is a person with whom I can easily get into rapport. I always joke, create a relaxed atmosphere, and give funny examples. I expect from a candidate the ability to be on equal ground with me.

Hard skills are essential too: understanding of IT-projects methodology; requirements engineering (elicitation, analysis, specification, verification, validation, and management).

Get a good sleep and think about what to say about yourself 💡

This is a basic advice on how to get prepared for an interview. Your experience and understanding of certain techniques usage will tell for yourself.

A legal background is not required but preferred. The main thing is that a person claiming this position should understand the main regulatory legal acts, existing legal mechanics, and know where to look for this or that law.

✔️ Analytical thinking and staying one step ahead.

🎙 What are the most common tasks you work on?

The main task is to ensure that all foreign employees have the appropriate documents.
Exadel takes over the entire legalization procedure, so I help our relocated employees with the whole process.

🎙 What do you especially like about your work?

I am constantly attending webinars and events dedicated to legislation regarding foreign citizens. I like listening to different opinions and moving forward. I often come across interesting cases that require more time to solve.

A huge advantage is independent work. At Exadel, no one breathes down my neck or controls every step.

“Tamed” 5895 meters above sea level, saved the team from the buzzer beater, stacked the pads… It’s all about Anton Ogiy (Lead Software Engineer) 🧑‍💻 who told us how he manages to combine passion for mountaineering and hockey👇🏼

Impossible is possible 💪🏼
Seven years ago, I decided to change my life. I chose to go into mountaineering 🙃. It was a bit like an adventure, because until that time I had the only experience of an independent trip - to Thailand.

Come back alive, not climb the mountain 💡
I love mountains with all my heart. It's great to be alone with my thoughts while hiking, meditate on life or try not to think at all. Mountains are a great way to escape from routine and have a rest. Climbing fortifies willpower. I had 3 attempts to climb Mount Elbrus. In total I had 8 ascents of 5 mountains.

My last peak! ⛰
The last time I went to Kilimanjaro, I thought that this was my last mountain. But then you go down, return home, sleep off and see what's next on the list 😊

Not only mountains 🏒
I play as a goalie in the amateur team of the Dinamo-Minsk fan club – ByZone. I started 5 years ago, for two years in a row, I worked with a personal trainer, and then he proposed me as a candidate for a team that was just gathering. In April, we took first place in the amateur hockey league, in the “beginner” category. My team and I have been going to this victory for 5 years.

Pleasure and adrenaline 🔄
Victory and medals are always a nice bonus, but interest, drive and passion are much more important. If the mountains are about challenging yourself, then hockey brings the pleasure of the game itself, the joy of teamwork, maximal concentration and adrenaline. Nothing can be compared to the feeling when you save a game at a decisive moment.

What's next? 💬
I dream of running the New York and Boston marathons, playing in the NHL and, of course, conquering more heights 😊

🏢 “The office itself has an awesome location and overlooks the Buda castle as well as the Széchenyi Chain Bridge. It’s always fun to have lunch downtown or go on some errands. Everything is within arm's reach; “you can really sense the city’s lively vibe.”

☕️ “There are not too many of us in the office, though people who do come enjoy splendid tea, coffee, and fruit days on Mondays and Wednesdays.”

🎊 ”We host quarterly team building events. In April, we celebrated Easter together! It was so warm, family-like, and inspiring! We look forward to meeting again for board games and informal socializing”.

📈 “We are growing really fast. Just 2 months ago there were only 4 of us at Exadel Hungary. Now we are 18, and we are waiting for new colleagues”.

"But the main thing is that we feel appreciated 🤗 If something goes wrong, nobody blames you but instead people are anxious to help. Management here is so supportive and motivating! You can have all possible perks at an office, but without understanding and trustworthy people, they are nothing. Now I always wait for Mondays, because I love the place I work at 💙 "
