Just a reiteration of a previous announcement since we've had MULTIPLE users reporting their safetynet breaking and causing apps to operate incorrectly, KINDLY wait for an update from your maintainer.

If your Evolution X version is NOT 7.6.1 (or 7.6.2 which is the latest), you may install this version of the safetynet fix module by Displax from GitHub. It may solve your safetynet issues temporarily until you receive an updated version of the ROM.

Thank you to everyone who has kept Evolution X installed in their devices, who's been with us from the start, all contributors, our fans and all those who helped us out along the way.

It hasn't been a perfect and smooth ride but we wouldn't have it any other way. We'll try our best not to stray from what we currently have and to keep providing a stable experience (apart from the random bs Google changes with safetynet, of course).

We will do our best in collaborating with other ROMs such as PE, crDroid, Syberia, LOS and many more as we strive to bring further improvements and more features than ever before.

On this special day of March 8th, we are celebrating two significant occasions that are close to our hearts: International Women's Day and Holi Festival of Colors. Both of these events hold great significance in our lives and deserve to be celebrated with great enthusiasm.

International Women's Day is a day dedicated to celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women all around the world. It is a day to honor the courage, strength, and resilience of women and their contributions to society. On this day, we acknowledge the struggles that women have faced and continue to face and recognize the importance of gender equality and the empowerment of women.

Holi Festival of Colors, on the other hand, is a joyful Hindu festival that celebrates the victory of good over evil and the arrival of spring. It is a day filled with vibrant colors, delicious sweets, and cheerful music, where people come together to spread happiness and positivity.

As we celebrate these two occasions together, let us remember the countless women who have fought for gender equality and women's rights and those who continue to do so. Let us also embrace the spirit of Holi by spreading love, joy, and happiness in our lives and the lives of those around us.

Looks like A13 QPR2 will require another rebase as there's too much conflicts after trying to merge it with our current base.

Basically expect us to finalize March patches before the end of the Month.

Major changes will include:

- Switch back to Pixel Launcher (QPR2 version)
- And with that switch, that brings back Google Wallpapers and Pixel Live Wallpapers compatibility
- It will also bring back the 'select' feature users have been asking for
- Removal of Parallel space and launcher app lock/hiding (system app lock/hide will still be available)
- Removal of custom icon pack support (since Pixel Launcher doesn't have any; use Pixel Launcher mod)
- And several feature omissions caused by QPR2 framework changes.

The main goal is to make our QPR2 as stable as it can be.

March patch releases will take around 1-2 weeks or more. That should end all ETA questions.

Maintenance Announcement

As we work towards making the services quality better, we will take down some services in order to improve it. During this downtime, you can still access and download the ROMs for your devices from this link: https://sourceforge.net/projects/evolution-x/files/

The maintenance work will take place from 2023/03/22 12:30 AM JST to 2023/03/22 04:30 AM JST. All Evolution X infrastructures and related services will be affected by this outage.

Regarding QPR2/March patches release, we'll hopefully have an initial build ready for testing by the weekend as SystemUI and framework compiles just fine at the moment (though a lot slower as we're using a temporary server as we wait for the crowdfunded one).

We're still hopeful on bringing back all of your favorite features from the previous versions to the latest release. We will make another announcement regarding which features have been removed or replaced/improved.

I still wouldn't advise maintainers to sync. We appreciate everyone's PATIENCE on this.

Thanks for everyone's patience! A13 QPR2 (March security patch) source is about to be finalized!

GitHub is currently experiencing issues which is why I couldn't fully push the fixes to make source boot just yet.

Several features have sadly been temporarily removed due to the code changes but that was expected. They will be likely to return before A14 arrives.

Good day to all! Remaining issues with Pixel Launcher crashes have been addressed and our March security patch source is ready to roll :) We appreciate everyone's patience on this!

Due to a plethora of negative reactions and for our users convenience, we will bringing back the Photos spoof toggle. Those who actually don't want to risk their accounts being possibly banned/blocked may just keep it off. It'll be off by default starting today. Using it definitely poses risks but it's up to the users anyways.
