Hey! Today is Saturday, time for #s2s_frequent_errors focus. Let's take a look at one of them on the screenshot and practice together!

The verb ‘avoid’ means to stay away from or prevent something unpleasant or undesirable from happening.

How to use ‘avoid’ in a sentence

1) Avoid + (Verb + 🔠ng)

This is the most common way to use ‘avoid.’

— This channel’s admins avoid eat🔠ng fast food.
— S2S founder avoids talk🔠ng about politics.

2) Avoid +🔠oun

— Our super cautious neighbor avoids contact with anyone who has the flu.
— To maintain his health, Homer Simpson actively avoids stress.

🔠 ‘Avoid + Verb + Ing’ is much more common and natural than ‘avoid to do something.’

Here’re 2 of the questions S2S users’ve discussed with each other this week

1️⃣ Have you ever received a special note or gift from a friend? What was it, and how did you feel?

2️⃣ Have you ever lost touch with a good friend? What happened?

We’ve asked our homie chat GPT to play Donald Duck Trump 🦆 and give his answers. Here’s what we’ve got:

Have you ever received a special note or gift from a friend? What was it, and how did you feel?

Absolutely. I once got a very special, very classy gift from a friend — a package that included a beautiful bottle of the finest scotch and a heartfelt card. It said, "You're one of a kind," and I felt fantastic — truly appreciated, like winning bigly in life 🏖️

Have you ever lost touch with a good friend? What happened?

Yes, I have. Sometimes people simply drift
apart from you when they're not keeping up with the pace of success. It's unfortunate, but not everyone can handle the tremendous energy and vision that comes with being around me. Believe me, it’s all part of the business.

Who will you ask chat to generate the answers for? Will you drop the answers you get in comments ⤵️
