The US Department of Defense has unveiled an autonomous machine gun with neural networks — it can destroy drones without human intervention and without radar

The American company Allen Control Systems (ACS) has developed a robotic installation Bullfrog for destroying UAVs. This 180-kilogram turret is equipped with an M240 machine gun with an effective range of up to 1.8 km, an electro-optical sensor and a computer with AI capable of detecting and tracking a target.

ACS notes that in modern conflicts, shooting at small and maneuverable targets at altitude causes difficulties even for experienced shooters. Therefore, Bullfrog independently calculates all the corrections, leaving the operator only with confirmation of the shot, although this is not necessary.
