💬 This holiday, which is significant for every Muslim around the world, marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan, has a vast spiritual meaning and symbolises people’s commitment to moral self-improvement, mercy and compassion.

It is deeply gratifying that the followers of Islam in our country have a deep respect for the country’s centuries-old historical, religious and cultural traditions and are bringing up young people in accordance with them. The life of the Muslim Ummah is filled with good deeds and initiatives. It is actively developing ties with government and public organisations and giving unceasing attention to educational, enlightenment and charity initiatives.

☝️ In the course of the ongoing special military operation, our Muslim servicemen are defending Russia together with their fellow soldiers, demonstrating courage and mutual support in battle.

It goes without saying that we value the contribution of Muslim organisations to the interethnic and interfaith dialogue and to the patriotic education of the rising generation.

Сделанный крымчанами в марте 2014 года осознанный выбор в пользу воссоединения с исторической Родиной является не чем иным как возвращением к истокам – российскому статусу полуострова, который был провозглашён в 1783 году.

При этом режим Зеленского продолжает жить в долг: военные издержки, социальную сферу, медицину, образование и другие жизненно важные направления спонсирует Запад. Разумеется, не безвозмездно. Большая часть финансовой помощи приходит в виде возвратных кредитов, в то время как доля грантов невелика.

Положение в финансово-экономическом секторе страны усугубляют коррупционные скандалы в Министерстве обороны и разворовывание поставляемых на Украину гуманитарных грузов. В результате, по словам администратора Агентства США по международному развитию (USAID) С.Пауэр, на Западе стали сомневаться в способности киевского режима контролировать расходование финансовой помощи.

Вновь отличился советник главы офиса президента М.Подоляк. Рассуждая о ситуации вокруг канонической Украинской православной церкви, он открыто заявил, что сегодня у киевского режима есть уникальный шанс быстро и безболезненно физически «зачистить» большое количество пророссийски настроенных людей. М.Подоляк пообещал покарать также жителей Крыма и Донбасса за их желание связать своё будущее с Россией.

Regional tracks of the foreign policy of Russia: European region

❗️Most European states pursue an aggressive policy toward Russia aimed at creating threats to the security & sovereignty of Russia, gaining unilateral economic advantages, undermining domestic political stability & eroding traditional Russian spiritual & moral values, & creating obstacles to Russia's cooperation with allies & partners.

☝️Russia intends to consistently defend its national interests by giving priority attention to:

1) reducing & neutralizing threats to security, territorial integrity, sovereignty, traditional spiritual & moral values, & socio-economic development of Russia, its allies & partners from unfriendly European states, #NATO, the EU & the Council of Europe

2) creating conditions for the cessation of unfriendly actions by European states & their associations <...> & for their transition to a long-term policy of good-neighbourliness & mutually beneficial cooperation with Russia

3) the formation of a new model of coexistence by European states to ensure the safe, sovereign & progressive development of Russia, its allies & partners, & durable peace in the European part of Eurasia, taking into account the potential of multilateral formats, including the #OSCE.

Objective prerequisites for the formation of a new model of coexistence with European states are geographical proximity, historically developed deep cultural, humanitarian & economic ties of the peoples & states of the European part of Eurasia. The main factor complicating the normalization of relations between Russia & European states is the strategic course of the USA & their individual allies to draw & deepen dividing lines in the European region.

❗️The realization by the states of Europe that there is no alternative to peaceful coexistence & mutually beneficial equal cooperation with Russia <...> will have a positive effect on the security & welfare of the European region.

🌎 17-20 апреля Министр иностранных дел России С.В.Лавров посетил с визитом ряд стран Латинской Америки.

🇧🇷 В Бразилии Министр был принят Президентом Л.Лулой, состоялся его контакт со Специальным помощником Президента Бразилии по международным вопросам С.Аморимом, переговоры с Министром иностранных дел Бразилии М.Виейрой. Министр выступил с лекцией в бразильской дипломатической академии ­Институте Рио-Бранко. На переговорах в МИД Бразилии стороны детально проанализировали ход совместной работы по укреплению российско-бразильского стратегического партнёрства.

🇻🇪 В Венесуэле глава российского внешнеполитического ведомства был принят Президентом Венесуэлы Н.Мадуро, провёл обстоятельные переговоры с Исполнительным Вице-президентом Д.Родригес и Министром иностранных дел И.Хилем. Подчёркнуто взаимное удовлетворение динамичным развитием политического диалога и практического сотрудничества в русле отношений стратегического партнерства.

🇧🇷 In Brazil the Minister was received by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, met with Chief Advisor of the Presidency Celso Amorim, held talks with Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira.

The Foreign Minister gave a lecture at Rio Branco Institute, Brazil’s diplomatic academy.

During the talks at the Brazilian Foreign Ministry, the Parties gave a detailed analysis of joint efforts to strengthen the #RussiaBrazil strategic partnership.

🇻🇪 In Venezuela the Russian Foreign Minister was received by President Nicolas Maduro and held detailed talks with Executive Vice President Delcy Rodriguez and Minister of Foreign Affairs Yvan Gil.

The Parties underscored their mutual satisfaction with the dynamic development of political dialogue and practical cooperation within the framework of their strategic partnership.

The talks focused on current issues related to further strengthening the strategic partnership between Russia and Nicaragua and on implementing bilateral cooperation projects.

🇨🇺 In Cuba Sergey Lavrov was received by President Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez and leader of the Cuban Revolution Raul Castro. The Russian Foreign Minister held talks with his Cuban colleague Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla.

💬 Я, конечно, понимал, насколько наши американские коллеги славятся такого рода вещами, но был уверен, что на этот раз с учётом внимания, привлечённого к их безобразному поведению, всё будет иначе. Я ошибался.

Страна, которая называет себя самой сильной, умной, свободной и справедливой, струсила и сделала глупость, показав, чего стоят на самом деле её клятвенные заверения о защите свободы слова и доступа к информации.

Придётся нам за вас тоже работать и проявлять больше энергии, прикладывать больше сил, чтобы донести правду до мирового сообщества и общественности.

🌐 On April 24, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will take part in one of the key events of our country’s presidency at the UN Security Council, an open debate on the agenda item "Effective multilateralism through the defence of the principles of the Charter of the United Nations."

The main goal of the meeting is to offer member states an opportunity to reaffirm their unconditional commitment to the core provisions of the UN Charter, primarily those with regard to strong adherence to the sovereign equality of states and refraining from interference in their domestic affairs.

🇵🇸 On April 25, Sergey Lavrov will chair another UNSC high-level event, an open debate under the agenda item “The situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian question.”

The Palestine problem which is central to the Middle East settlement process, is further from a solution than ever. It adds more urgency to the overall task of restoring the peace horizon and reaffirming the commonly acknowledged international-law basis for the settlement, including the two-state formula.

🌐 24 апреля отмечается Международный день многосторонности и дипломатии во имя мира.

Решение отмечать данный День было принято 12 декабря 2018 года резолюцией A/RES/73/127 Генеральной Ассамблеи ООН. В ней отмечено, что Международный день является средством пропаганды ценностей ООН и подтверждения веры народов мира в цели и принципы, закреплённые в Уставе Организации.

🇷🇺🇺🇳 Россия неизменно придерживается курса в поддержку многосторонности и ведущей роли ООН в мировых делах, активно участвует в усилиях по реформированию, адаптации ООН к новым международным реалиям.

Это особенно актуально сегодня, когда на Организацию и другие многосторонние институты оказывается беспрецедентное давление со стороны узкой группы государств, продвигающих концепцию «миропорядка, основанного на правилах».

✍️ Согласно Концепции внешней политики России, утверждённой 31 марта 2023 года, наша страна намерена уделять приоритетное внимание восстановлению роли ООН в качестве центрального координирующего механизма в согласовании интересов государств-членов Организации.

Одновременно в качестве одной из основных задач отечественной внешней политики определено укрепление потенциала многосторонних региональных объединений и интеграционных структур с участием России. 🌐 Today is International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace.

On December 12, 2018, the UN General Assembly passed a resolution A/RES/73/127 on marking this day. The document notes that the International Day aims to promote UN values and to reaffirm the trust of the world’s nations in the goals and principles of the UN Charter.

🇷🇺🇺🇳 Russia is invariably committed to the policy of upholding multilateralism and the UN’s leading role in global affairs and is actively involved in efforts to overhaul the UN and to adapt it to new international realities.

This is particularly topical today when a narrow group of states advancing the rules-based order concept exerts unprecedented pressure on the UN and other multilateral institutions.

✍️ Under the Russian Foreign Policy Concept, approved on March 31, 2023, Russia intends to prioritise efforts to reinstate the UN’s role as a central coordination mechanism in coordinating the interests of UN member states.

At the same time, one of the main aims of national foreign policy is to strengthen the potential of multilateral regional associations and integration organisations involving Russia. For example, this refers to measures to enhance the international role of #BRICS, the #SCO, the #CIS, the #EAEU, the #CSTO, #RIC and other interstate associations and international organisations, as well as mechanisms with significant Russian involvement.
