According to the investigative service of the Ministry of Finance, the person accused of the crime paid with counterfeit banknotes of 20 lari ($7.7) in various retail outlets in the capital. Police officers found 185 banknotes totaling 3,700 lari ($1,430).
The detainee faces 4 to 7 years in prison.
