At no time during the last 2 years do I ever recall the CDC saying "Hey, guys, this is just guidance. Take what we're saying with a grain of salt and make your own decision."
Instead, CDC guidance was viewed as "gospel" by far too many doctors, hospitals, school districts & employers across the country. We all remember those posted signs, boasting "Our company follows the latest guidance from the CDC" or similar messaging.
Well, that incorrect guidance had real-world implications. CDC knew it & reveled in it. We will not allow them to run away from "their truth" now. Not after the carnage they helped cause.
