North Korean soldiers in Russia have been enrolled in the Marines and the Air Force, DW reports with reference to a report by the National Intelligence Service (NIS) of South Korea.
According to South Korean intelligence, about 11,000 North Korean soldiers were transferred to the Kursk region after completing training for adaptation to local conditions in northeastern Russia.
Before being sent to the combat zone, part of the military was trained in combat tactics and response to drones. Some of them have already participated in hostilities, among them there are dead and wounded.
According to the NIS, Pyongyang also supplies Moscow with long-range artillery, including 170 mm self-propelled howitzers and 240 mm MLRS.
